Question Anyone With Car Cover Experience?

I'm thinking of using a car cover and might have it on my vehicle (sitting outside in the 4 seasons) for a couple months.

Does anyone have a company or brand they recommend that won't scratch if the wind blows it gently back and forth....
or that won't mold underneath?
Do these covers keep the water out through say...3 days of continuous rain?
What's the longest you've had a cover on a car and taken it off to find the car clean still or scratched or dirty?
Do you think a thick cover might help protect against hail damage?
Do you regret putting a cover on your nice car?
I'm not talking about the lighter covers on a car kept in a garage. I'm talking more heavy duty.
I see where they offer locks to lock it to your car. Has anyone ever stolen a car cover from you?
Do you see folks peeking under the cover to get a look at your car?
I've seen prices range from 39.99 to 300.00. Any opinion on price differences (other than some are for inside storage I'm sure and some aren't....as some will take care of everything (dust, rain, etc.) and others just so so?)

Thanks....

It would depend on the value of the car, I assume. Personally, if i cared enough to protect it from the elements, I would rent a storage unit for a couple of months and skip the cover.

Hmmm, now "that's" an idea.

It's no exotic car, but I just don't feel like putting the miles on it.

Exclamation Pain

Car covers are a pain to install, store and remove regardless of make.

I would look for covered parking instead.

. . .Even if you have to walk a bit, the exercise will do you good!

I have a car cover for my M Roadster but I also keep it garaged.
It is simple to put on and take off.I do not know if I would use it outdoors on a regualr basis even tho it appear to be made of the same type material as Frog Togs.
