Bedpage: How does it stay out of trouble?
Does anyone know how Bedpage gets away with ads such as theirs when Backpage (and Craigslist) faced all sorts of indignation for having similar ads?
Bedpage doesn’t even pretend to be hosting legit massage services. It is pretty much exactly what it looks like, call girl ads that leave nothing to the imagination or under a veil of vague descriptions.
It doesn’t bother me that they are there, I’m just curious how they can keep their websites up when others had to back off and/or face criminal charges..

I believe it has something to do with the country the servers are located in.

True statement.
Had the owners of this site been paying attention, they could have avoided the reduction of this site to the current poor showing. When the site was formed, the business owning the site was based in the North Texas area which was brought to light years ago. If this site had been based in an area that does not have laws against what was being posed before 2019 and the owners had inverted the business to a country with similar laws, this site would still be rocking.
Just goes to show a little foresight with a once of prevention can make a world of difference.

They are foreign owned just like P411 (Canada). Many places prostitution is legal.

Actually I think that Gina sold out during the fallout of SESTA/FOSTA. Even being Canadian she was not totally out of the reach of the Feds somehow. The new investors were likely established in a country much less "reachable".
Some of the online sites either started with or moved to a .ch domain which is Switzerland. The Swiss are very big on privacy rights.

How does this development fit it with the previous posts, that said the location of the servers prevented things like this from happening.

Point of order, nobody ever "says" anything on a website like the ICK since there is no audio, just written text. Statements can be, and are, made here but nothing is ever "said."
In regards to your reference of previous posts making comments that what is going on with bedpage.com would be prevented by location, your interpretation is incorrect as that is not what was written.
In particular, what I wrote clearly indicated that if a site, its server farm, and the company owning the site are based in a country where US laws are not applicable or lack treaty agreements, such as in Switzerland, then US legislation, i.e. FOSTA/SESTA, do not apply to the sites content or the ownership/administration of the site.
However, what is going on with bedpage.com appears to be either an internal argument with its staff which is being manifested by website updates or hacks of the site with the restoration of the changed content at a later time to what it is now.
I haven't spent the time researching where bedpage.com has its servers as I don't care, but ICANN lists their registry being GoDaddy.com with an original date of registration of the domain name being 2017-11-17 10:46:39 UTC and the site being on a five-year plan.
This is not a "black coppers at night" deal since if the Feds had taken it over, you would have known just like everyone knew when they took down Backpage.com.

The fact is this is the second time I have seen this occur, with a restoration of the site to what it is presently. Therefore, I suspect it is either an internal staff argument or a test should the "black choppers" start to fly.
