In these progressive, fearful times Rodney Howard-Browne is in jail. His crime? Holding a church service at his church. Hamzeh Abushariah is being held in jail. His crime? He shot one of three teenagers who were breaking into the store where he was sleeping. The robber will survive.
Who's going home? Anthony Cromwell is going home after a judge decided that this felony hit and run suspect was in danger from Coronavirus. Cromwell is healthy, black, and 26 years old.
The good guys are going to jail for defending themselves and the bad guys are going home to commit more crimes and to silence witnesses against them because of shitty liberal judges.

As a Houstonian, this is about the most embarrassing thing I have heard in quite some time from one of our “Leaders”. Even Shiela Jackson Lee will have a tough time topping this.

With due respect, Mayor Turner is not really that stupid. He is actually a pretty good Mayor considering the demographics of Houston. Since Houston is NOT going to swing Republican in the near future, he is the best of a bad situation.

Sure did. Annise Parker, a full blown carpet muncher.

She was the Mayor before Turner. She made her political bones by being the city controller for quite a few years, where she tried to keep a tight reign on frivolous spending.

Parker was really a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. Like most Mayors, she did not fuck with the Houston Business Communities ability to make money.

On a scale of one to ten, with ten being good, I would give her a solid seven.

Browne deliberately defied orders to not conduct a service, while Cromwell accidentally killed someone, albeit used bad judgement fleeing. I won't bother explaining the difference, because you already know, and deliberately view through your narrow extremist lens.
