Default Obama Makes the World Like US!

Remember how much good he was going to do our "image" (as though image matters in the real world).

A hard truth American bureaucrats have been learning over, and over, and over again: You can't buy friends.

But, apparently you can "rent them" (as we know better than many communities and Thank You! ladies!)

He was for big oil before he was against big oil (I guess he's not expecting the same donations from BP this time around).

Wasn't the unicorn salesman just in OK pushing his pipeline? Didn't his hand picked energy secretary WANT high gas prices?

CNBC's Rick Santelli: "If I broke my right arm, am I going to pick a fight with the neighbor? No. If I'm two months behind on my mortgage, am I going to go complain to the bank? Probably not. But let's see, with gasoline approaching $5 a gallon, isn't this just a supreme time to pick a war with the energy people that are bringing us what already seems to be in the market's eyes in short supply? Just like picking fights with China when the world's about ready to go into recession. There's a time and a place for everything. And, by the way, all these profits Exxon's making, the administration doesn't like it. Well, what about Apple making a billion dollars a week, or Microsoft? I bet you if GM made a billion dollars a week, they wouldn't mind. Come on!"

No?

Presidents don't make or break our image, the behaviour of our citizens does. And it's atrocious, especially when we visit other countries acting like dicks and expecting everything to be in English because WE'RE AMERICAN!!

I use to laugh at the tourists who thought people would understand them if they talked loud enough. did a lot for our image.

I'm really trying to get everything I can out of this now because it'll be someone on the right in the whitehouse soon and we will be the ones shaking our heads. The polarization between sides is ridiculous.

*As a Briton he hasn't been the best friend to us at times thus far. And, as a Jew he could do a wee bit better as far as Israeli support is concerned. I am indeed a liberal but am of the mind a strong military is good as well. And, Obama needs to do better at showing support for Israeli issues--IMO.

we dont need 2 spend more money & life in another middle east war. israel only creates more problems 4 us. we dont need 2 b over there anymore since we r moving toward alternate energy sources & dont need 2 b dependent on saudi oil. the oil companies made enough money.

Agreed, he seems to have a habit of alienating allies. I'm not sure how much of the '08 election you followed but the "world hates us because of Bush and will love us because of Obama" meme was used by the media to prop up this empty suite.

One thing remains certain, I've never heard nor read of him ever saying he would put American and our allies first.

Sorry a call on political opponents to put HIS PARTISAN POSITION FIRST while calling it "America's best interests" is actually worse.

Go put your blinders back on, this guy is a self serving, malignant narcissist who seems bent on turning the US into a socialist backwater like Europe.

you dont want people to have insurance so they have to use social medical services?

then bitch about turning an already socialist system into a socialist system?

makes perfect sense if you dont bother to think about it, or youre a teapublican.
