He was convicted in a Minnesota court in 2003 for fishing without a license and in 2008 he pleaded guilty for lying to a federal wildlife officials about killing a black bear in Wisconsin. He will probably get off the hook for the lion killing but this should cost him financially ....That is the only thing he will understand. I am a fisherman and I don't really understand this kind of hunting.

As Old T posted, yes, the guy does seem to think he's pretty "special," and no doubt should be above the law.

CNN is reporting that Zimbabwe has begun extradition proceedings, but notes that it's very unclear what the U.S. State Department position is likely to be.

I won't be a bit surprised if the guy eventually ends up being an involuntary guest of the Zimbabweans for a while. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy, eh?
