Default renewable energy

The problem with renewable energy is.....people don't like to wait.

Ever see frustrated drivers in a traffic jam ? How about when your internet service goes down, and you are ready to do something, even just entertainment.

How about buying an electric car, and then you decide you are ready to go on a
road trip ? I suppose you could rent a car......not use the one you bought and are paying for. Not to mention the extra costs of a charger. How about getting ready to replace a $ 5,000 battery ? And after 2 to 3 years, that car is going to be worth very little.

If a hurricane is coming, all the advise is be prepared, charge up your devices. With undependable renewable energy, you are in that situation all the time.

I understand your concerns but you would love to know that the opportunities planned for the near future with technological progresses made in lab scale is currently outstanding. Coomericialization may take some time, but the renewals will increase in market share. Tesla is just one example.

If will reduce the carbon foot print. It has to happen. It's amazing the opportunities being evaluated and being tested by the venture capitalists...it's amazing has a potential for possible Microsoft kind of evolution...

Hope it happens for the sake of environment..

Good one sir...

I think you will find most electric or hybrid cars come with a 7 to 8 year warranty on the battery. As for 5 grand on the battery I think most are closer to 10k.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I want just pointing that out.

Wanna do something that conserves resources:

Buy a VW diesel, and get 45+mpg and 500 mile range in a package that consumes very few resources to build.

Oh, you can't do that.

Wanna spend a bunch of resources on something that doesn't even return the energy required to produce the devices for 10-15 years? By some solar cells, and let the government pay for the inefficiency, and sock the other people that share your grid with price increases.

Hybrids aren't a bad idea, but they aren't any more environmentally friendly than a VW diesel.

kehaar makes a good point. in most countries i work, they have japanese decent sized compact 4x4 quad cab trucks with a small diesel engine and standard shift. mofos have stump pulling torque.....peppy as hell through the gears and get great mileage.

buy one here?

Electric vehicle hype is so bogus.

Fools who think they are doing the planet a favor by driving one should do some research. Just look at the "dirty" energy necessary to manufacture one of those noxious batteries.

Of course the climate changes thanks to mother nature.
Always has, always will.
Arrogant bastards who believe man can affect climate can't even recreate a simple thunderstorm.

Outlaw volcanos and the sun if you want real climate change.
Good luck on enforcement.

Kill Co2 and you kill plant life which depends on it for survival.
Scam of the century.

The best case for them is stop n go traffic recharging the battery with the braking flux.

But if that is so great.....why is the fucking post office still using the basics. lol that wasn't a question. and they fucking stop n go more than anyone....never need to leave town....and have all night to recharge.

I'll bet you the winner of the next design will be based on alternative fuel like cng vs hybrid.

I wonder if the retiring design is obd1 or obd2

fuckin government constantly making me pay for more technology and bull shit but they get to run a 30 year old design.

i already had to salvage one vehicle because of the check engine light. state told me i could get a waiver if i was poor.

fuckin government

Lol....keep this going....

The plants can generate their CO2 from photosynthesis they are not banking on automobile generated Co2.

gS, you may already know this but in south east Asia aNd possible brazil the use of cNG is quite predominant for the last say 8 years.

The political lobby for oil and gas is not going to let the renewal energy and alternate energy thrive...that's why we seen many investments on bio fuel has gone south...no grown the way we may anticipated once...

Have you forgotten that VW cannot sell deisels in the US and several other countries due to their emissions fraud?

Gs good one too late to fix i was on the 8th peg of johnny Walker blue,label...lol

The intelligent guys will fix it but let me restate....but shit that was bad on my part

Plants consume co2 during the process of photosynthesis and release o2. However, deforestation has taken a toll on the carbon balance.

Gs, how is this ...
