SS is for protection. Not for renting and organizing an event. Sure, the SS plays a hand in securing the event, but they are not the people who the candidate tasks with reserving a venue.



That is on the candidate. Even the current POTUS, when they are campaigning, have to pay venues to hold rallies at.
