Default Chica Friendly Hotels in Rio?

I will be in Rio next week and have lucked out in that I have the option of staying at the Copacabana Palace hotel since that is where the conference is based that I am attending. Have searched every forum I could and cannot determine whether this hotel is Chica-friendly (suspect not given it is high end)

Two questions for anyone who is familiar:

1) Is the Copacabana Palace chica friendly?
2) If not, what is the closest nice hotel that would be chica friendly?

Thanks very much folks. I really tried to research this and cannot find conclusive answers to either of the above.

Darn hope I am not too late. The Palace is NOT girl friendly. Try the Marriot, they have to sign in but the girls know the drill.
