The Keystone XL is an export pipeline folks. Much of the heavy crude oil from it will never reach US drivers Tanks. In fact most of the Canadian oil that is exported by Keystone XL will increase the cost of gas for Americans including farmers.

Oil production in this country is up in a major way and even tapping into our natural reserves isn't going to do much to affect gas prices. It didn't when Bush did it. The president cannot control gas prices. The Keystone XL pipeline is not going to help us. It looks to me the President is compromising which the Republicans are unwilling to do and that is why we have a very dysfunctional government right now. No one wants to work things out at the table and make some compromises.

I hope they build it. Maybe when prices at the pump dont go down one single penny, and the oil companies profit margin increases even more, the idiots will figure it out. It being we cant drill or pump our way to $2.00 gas.

but then again, theyre idiots so prolly not.

It doesn't need to reach U.S. drivers to drive down 'world' fuel costs. U.S. drivers will benefit from any decline in 'world' fuel costs.

You mean, like the way they figured out that dropping the tax burden to its lowest point in 50 years, only to end up with the the worst economy in 70 years, means we just didn't lower the tax burden quite enough?

which has NOTHING to do with REGIONAL price at the pump

then back to the world market ...

Keystone gets built, Saudi (OPEC) reduces production and offsets ANYTHING capable of fitting in a little pipe.

Check around ... THEM BOYS GOT SUM OIL !

Sexyeccentric 1 wasn't addressing 'regional prices', as you 'imagine', CBJ7.

This is purely hypothetical supposition on your part, and you cannot demonstrably prove this will happen.

Once again this is purely hypothetical supposition on your part, and you cannot demonstrably prove this will happen. Refute it with more than your feeble-moronic opinion, CBJ7.

supposition or not major oil producing countries CAN control world prices by increasing or lowering production.

then we have the mid east crisis that effects the global price of oil ...

people who yammer about gas $$ really want to attack Iran? Really?

yeah, poor Ib

so many factors in the equation, so little insight.
