Eric Holder said that when it comes to talking about race we're a nation of cowards. I agree, but probably not with the way he meant the remark. The black family has been destroyed by social welfare. Black crime and illegitimacy have skyrocked since the advent of major social welfare spending in the sixties. America has transferred trillions of dollars in welfare payments from productive Americans to non-productive Americans with the end result of creating a permanent underclass.

Prior to the nineteen sixties, most African-Americans were Republicans. Martin Luther King, Jr was a registered Republican and so was his father Martin Luther King, Sr. Democrats have created a permanent block vote from African-Americans by supporting the continuance of failed social welfare programs. These programs are counter productive because they reward sloth and encourage out of wedlock births. Continuing social welfare programs, as they currently exist, only serves to buy the African-American vote for the Democrats.
