Yes, our league uses the ESPN format, too, for drafting and setting our rosters and weekly contests. However...
...whether it be STANDARD or PPR rules, I would carefully do my own research / homework prior to your draft date
versus what the ESPN brain trust currently has posted per players' values.
David Johnson vs La'Veon Bell or Julio Jones vs Antonio Brown in Round One may just come down to a matter of your own preference (or each team's actual schedule if you believe that's a factor). If you're fortunate to get any one of these four elites, count yourself lucky and move on to the next pick...
That said, as we all know though, the difference between an average FF team vs a playoff team comes down to finding those Value Picks from mid-draft through Round 17. All too many times I see people get "tired head" even after (only) round six or seven...and start to make what-I-call blow-off picks (ie: reach on players / positions loooooong before they should be picked...you can see they're anxious, frustrated, or simply unprepared).
Do your homework....develop a strategy....and don't get rattled (even if someone snags Gronk before you do in Round Two). Good luck!
