You may have explained why those might be bad candidates, but you didn't explain why Trump or.more importantly, the country would be better off if he ran in 2020.

If Trump continues to self-destruct and alienate voters on a daily basis, Democrats could nominate Tweedle-Dee the wonder dummy and he/she could win.

Nope. in fact, it is all-important who the Dems eventually nominate. if they fuck it up Trump will win again in 2020.

as it stands now they have nothing to run against. nothing. like Bob Mueller. bahahaaa
what are they gonna say about the economy, trade and jobs? border security?

as it stands today any Democrat would lose to Trump. if the overall economy and other areas stay strong,, what would any Democrat have to challenge him on?

nothing.

bahahahahahhaaaaaa

let's discuss the Republican options shall we?

None. bahhaaa

who is gonna run against their party's sitting president? Who?

BAHAAA

no one.

Marco Rubio recently stated as much ..

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaig...neral-election

"Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R) predicted Wednesday that President Trump would likely run unopposed in the 2020 Republican Party primary before going on to win the general election."

Macro boy is right. not even firebrand Teddy Cruz (the slayer of Betotard!) will run against Trump. here's what that means for the Democrats ....

The RNC will put their full unfettered might behind Trump to retain the White House.

BET ON IT!

John Kaisch will rally for Trump in 2020.

BET ON IT!

BAHAAHAAAAAAA

Why would you possibly be confident he'd win? Most voters don't like him. I've never voted for a Democrat for president in my lifetime. However given a choice solely between Trump and a mainstream Democrat candidate, I'd definitely vote for the Democrat.

You're right about one thing. He is doing everything he can to goose the economy. In 2020 we'll be running a trillion dollar budget deficit, and if Trump gets his way he'll control the Federal Reserve and will set interest rates far below inflation. This will provide a high level of stimulus to the economy. It's called the Venezuelization of the U.S. economy. Times will be good, for a while.

who said confident? let's cut to the chase. ... probability theory says Trump had a 50/50 chance in 2016, why do you think those empirical odds change in 2020?

did Newton's Laws suddenly change too?

BAHAA

George H W Bush was the most qualified person to run for president in our lifetimes in 1992 but ran afoul of the Clinton slime machine.

And I'm sure that you predicted Republicans would hold onto the House like every other Trump supporter on this forum. Obviously the economy was not the focal point among voters in this country that Trump supporters expected it to be. Economy is great, Republicans lost, with few exceptions.

You just don't get it. Trump's character, or lack thereof, cost him millions of votes in the recent election. Women especially, most of whom supported him in 2016, abandoned him in 2018. As long as the Democrats put up a candidate for POTUS without the baggage of Hillary Clinton, Trump will be in for a battle in 2020.

And Trump's approval ratings continue to slide downward. Gallup poll has him at 38%.
