Default One Giant Leap for a Man...R.I.P. Neil Armstrong

First man on the Moon, dead at 92. I would normally post a sad smiley here, but he lived a good long life. I'm only sad he didn't see us make it to Mars.

RIP, Neil. One of those events in American History where I can tell you exactly where I was when he stepped onto the moon's surface. Truly amazing.

Maybe I had hoped he'd have lived longer, or maybe I just misread. So he was 82...J

IF the real quote really was intended as "a" man. . . . it only puts Neil in a more "unique " position than he already was!!

Has there ever been a more humble man?

We need many more of his caliber!!

Not sure if it's true, but one of the funny stories about Armstrong...

The last words he broadcast before leaving the surface of the moon was reportedly "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky..."

Mr. & Mrs Gorsky were Neil's neighbors when he was a young boy. One day he had to retrieve a baseball that had been hit into the Gorsky's yard. He overheard Mrs. Gorsky screaming to her husband, "Sex? You want sex??? You'll get sex from me when that skinny kid next door walks on the moon!!!"

He was a great American. I always did and will continue to, when people ask me what my Birthday is I tell them that I was born 13 days prior to Neal Armstrong walking on the moon.

I wonder if he will be bured in DC.. He is/was a national hero.. A soft spoken hated the lime light did what he was told to do and did it because he knew it needed to be done.

herky.
