Glenn Beck's New Gig?
Televangelist?
Chair of the "History" Department at Liberty University?
Counterbalance on the Oprah Winfrey Network?
Gran Dragoon of the Klueless Kwack Klan - err, Teah Pahty?
Set Decoration on The Daly Show?
Revisiting the past glories of substance abuse?
Now Glenn-boy's gone from Fox, what's his next gig gonna be?

Maybe he'll team up with Keith Olbermann. Maybe if he loses another third of his viewers, he might not beat the best rated MSNBC show. Might.

Interesting.....ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN, etc etc etc, all part of the liberal media.
But when it comes time for conservatives to compare ratings in an attempt to prove their viewpoint is more popular, then suddenly, the only liberal station is MSNBC. Funny how that works.

Actually, Fox news generally has better ratings than MSNBC, CNBC, CNN & HLN combined.
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/201...l-5-2011/88519
The big nets (ABC, CBS, NBC) do have much larger audiences -- partly from broader distribution. The numbers aren't directly comparable, but what I've seen is that each of their news broadcasts (i.e., the 6:30 slot) has a bigger rating than Fox's evening news show (i.e., 6-7pm) i.e. 5-6 million viewers for the nets versus 2 million for Fox, but the network audiences are steadily declining.
It is kind of odd isnt it that Fox has maybe 2 million evening news viewers vs maybe 15 for the Liberal guys and they still go ballistic. I guess they don't like any competition for their version of the truth.

@PJ
I'm surprised at you...trying to support which newscast is best by the ratings. Just because people watch it doesn't mean it's credible. Just means it is entertaining.

Interesting, you agree that ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, etc etc etc are all part of the liberal media?
Ratings are compared between MSNBC and Fox because 1) They are cable stations 2) Feature 'political analysis' between 7 to 10 pm weekdays. CNN could also possibly be thrown into the mix.
I don't think this necessarily explains whose "viewpoint" is more "popular", only whose show is more popular. I watch "Hardball" only for the inadvertent hilarity of its host - not because he's "right."

Charles I'm not surprised at you. Fox and MSNBC and to some extent CNN aren't "newcasts" but "political analysis shows". Walter Cronkite had a "newcast." Just because people watch doesn't mean its not credible either. Nor entertaining.

Kind of like politicians. But I guess all that really matters is that more people watch...or vote...for the most popular...at least until the ratings or the polls come out next. The rest is just opinions.

Ahhhh, it seems that even (or, especially) the National Socialist Nooze Network is driven by the ol' profit motive. While the Beckster has around 2 million viewers, on the average he has no sponsors. I guess what passes for "public service" over there has its limits.
BTW, phatdaty - that's what I'm talkin' about! Thanks for the humor.
TTH, he's the guy with the chalk boards and a fascination with Babylon.
Or, Glenn B. might team up with the newly ex-Wisconsin Supreme Court Judge, speaking of voting.....
