Deceased driver ID'd in I-10 wreck
From staff reports
March 22, 2013

The identity of a Milton woman killed in a Thursday night crash on Interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County was released on Friday, as were the details of the crash.

[real name edited - GM], 50, was pronounced dead at the scene, which was in the interstate's eastbound lane near the Avalon Boulevard exit. Another person, [real name edited - GM], 28, of Milton, was hospitalized at Sacred Heart with serious injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at 8:15 p.m. after [edited out- GM], who was westbound on I-10, crossed the grass median and slid into the eastbound lane. Her car then struck the right side of [edited out- GM]'s SUV, and the SUV split apart.

The deceased was Trish? What a shame. I hope this isn't true.

please take her real name out of this post, out of respect for the family and friends.

#5 - Outing or threats of outing are taken seriously. Membership here is anonymous and for the privacy of our members it will remain that way. That means any effort or attempt to connect a person's real world information to their username on this board will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. This includes real names, employment, medical info, addresses past or present, images, criminal or driving record, etc. We expect everyone who participates here to respect and go to great lengths to protect the anonymity and privacy of one another. Reckless disregard or accidental outing will also be taken very seriously.

Sorry. And thanks for the mod edit. Thought people would want to know.

Mods request another favor and edit. Please delete the name of the male driver involved as well. Thank you.

#32 - On occasion, we may lose a valuable member of our community as a result of an unexpected accident, natural causes, or other various circumstances. The grieving process when these situations arise is often difficult and ECCIE has established a procedure to follow in such cases to protect the memory and more importantly the anonymity of our deceased member. A brief announcement will be made to inform the membership and honor the deceased member's contributions here without revealing any circumstances that may jeopardize the privacy of any of the parties involved. It will be immediately locked, and no further discussion allowed.

PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD !!!

Newsflash - even though the OP was edited, you can still find the complete article with a Google search. Not that I care, but the system of protecting identities seems flawed...

There is no need to lock or delete this thread. It is good way to have a cathartic moment to remember a someone who was part of this community.
