Default Recent Gas Prices

A bunch of $3.39's and $3.49's around town, but $2.99's to be found at the Sheetz in Baden, the Marathon in Conway, the Sunocos on Curry Hollow and Brownsville Rd in South Park

You're the only one mentioning Biden here

It's almost as if you're mad that gas is cheaper now. Lol.

PA prices are always extra due to the high tax per gallon. What's interesting is that Presidents don't make the price of gas, markets do. When you see prices coming down because there's a glut of supply - but I remember when they were giving a certain orange menace all kind of credit when it was below $2. Actually during the peak of the pandemic when nobody was driving anywhere. It's sad that people think political policy has that much of an effect on global commodities.

Fact is reduced production causes the price to go up. Biden shut down the keystone pipeline basically day one, it would have brought in more crude oil.

Biden has stopped drilling on a lot of government land. He also has made it so hard to get permits on other areas it’s reduced drilling thus less crude oil, higher prices.

Anyone know that Biden was selling our strategic reserve to lower pricing do to his policies.

Waco Kid got it right. Touting lower prices now is disingenuous/bullshit.
Raise the price on something then bring the price down take credit for lowing the price is pure fing bullshit!

Oh Biden also has a war on coal fired electric plants, have you forgotten that. That alone raises electric prices and inflation.
Anyone notice their electric bill is much higher.

Gasoline was $1.87 when Trump left office. If you find gas at $1.87 I’m interested.

Well, no shit gas was cheap when trump left office. It's called Supply & Demand. The world was in the throes of a pandemic. Demand was historically low.

It's also untrue that "Biden has stopped drilling on a lot of government land". And unlike some Valued Posters here, I'll provide links to my claims.

The true fact is that Biden has outpaced trump on drilling permits. Big oil just refuses to update their technology, and dare mess with their record profit making. 9,000 unused drilling permits. This isn't a Biden problem; it's a corporate greed problem.

The 9,000 permits your proposing are sites known to be dry holes and or not profitable.
You don’t hit profitable oil or gas wells any place you drill. A typical liberal misinformation ploy!

As an example the Marcellus play is excellent in the eastern and north western part of Pa, Western Ohio and a small part of WV.
If you get a drilling permit for say western Ohio the permit is useless. It you drill a well there the well will be a dry hole or unprofitable.

Again you don’t hit oil or gas anywhere you drill let alone a profitable
well.

Another example. A permit for a windmill is useless in an area where you don’t have wind.
A permit for solar power where the place is mostly overcast.

Just curious do you have links to that statement? Enquiring minds want to know.

Because no one has drilled more wells than the present administration. We are self sufficient now. They have no control of dry holes as you say. The main line news the ones that provide facts have never said anything of dry humping, I mean dry holes. You must have some inside information.

It wasn't that news source that had to pay 3/4 of a billion dollars is it? They are actually listed as an entertainment channel not a news channel if it is the one I am thinking.

This wasn't about politics. It was about some cheaper recent gas prices locally
