‘Cause it’s the holiday season!

Hi everyone
Happy holidays officially....

I am feeling rather joyful and jolly
I like to think back on all the memorable holiday times I had as a
youngin’ and how great it is to be able to celebrate how ever I like
as an adult! No need to stick to formalities

What are some non-conventional things you like to do during the
holiday season?
or what are some traditions you have had throughout the years?

-my fam would open presents on Xmas eve (once I was done believing
in santa)
-also Xmas eve I would go into manhattan from
the Ny suburbs I grew up in to see the tree at the Rock and go ice skating
or go to a movie matinee

I had so much family spread out that Christmas was so hectic. One Grandma on Christmas eve, Home christmas on christmas day plus 2 more grandparents on christmas day....


So now I ususally stick to myself and relax and enjoy being away from them. lol I love them but it was always a lot.

I was an only child so my mother would just let me open my gift early on. She cooked , we spent time together on the 25th if she didn't work. I joined the military and after that never really celebrated it since I was overseas. It just became just another day.

I have family all back home in ID so I get super excited to go see them for the holidays. Movies, ice skating and family time. Oh and of course the traditional family fights Lol

When I was a kid the hotels used to have Christmas parties for the kids. It was a lot of fun.

Ice Skating at Hotel Del was always enjoyable in San Diego. Ice Skating at Cosmo is a fun new tradition. Overlooking the strip and ice skating is pretty sweet.

They even make snow flurries over the rink, which sits on top of the pool, if it is cold enough.

Stephanie you should also check out the Ethel M Chocolate Factory holiday lights. Very cool local Las Vegas tradition

It depends on where you are overseas!
Some countries don’t celebrate xmas or Hanukkah, etc. since there is
small population of Christians/Jewish religions in that region
