The best places to travel with a lady.

There are so many places to travel to, some a little more discreet then others, in regards to the handling of "extra curricular activities " . Where are some of the hotels or places that you have traveled to with a lady that have gone above and beyond what could possibly be asked ?

Personally for myself, The Trump Sonesta in Miami is and has been more than accommodating in regards to making sure that all details were handled with the utmost discretion.

Yes, yes, I know, these establishments understand the need for discretion, but some are much better at it than others.

I have a lover that I travel with quite frequently, and we are at this point, well known at the Sonesta. We are there at least twice a month, always staying in one of the Palm Suites, and while we are there, we have massages daily in our room, we have had their entire beach roped off so that we could enjoy it privately while the staff brings us dinner of chilled lobster and someone is continuously there at our side to make sure that our needs are met... in other words, we are getting the top line of what the hotel offers during our very frequent stays, and tend to stand out... on each visit they greet us now by first name and with our favorite cocktails in hand and the masseuses that come to our suite know that we like the massage beds turned towards the ocean and where our achy spots are after getting off the plane...

One night as we are sitting next at the bar overlooking the beach smoking a cigar, enjoying our drinks we learn that the hotel has been receiving calls from his wife demanding any bit of info that she can gleam on each and every one of his visits.... and that they have been telling her that he leaves for his appointed meetings during the day, sits with the bartender in the evening for his meals, takes a dip in the pool in the late evening hours and has been by himself...... we basically find out that they have been fielding most of his calls, and making sure that we are not bothered nor are we "given away"... lol we did after this decide then to start flying into Miami and then driving over to the Ritz in Naples for every other visit....

LOL, but talk about service that makes for a happy ending ... they went above and over.... The Breakers in Palm Beach is also good about this....

So where have you found that truly makes sure that your privacy is respected ?

I had a pretty nice stay at the Peninsula in Hollywood.

La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA. Get a villa with your private butler and balcony overlooking the ocean. You can sneak out the back gate at night for walks along the beach--it feels so wonderfully decadent although nobody there really cares what's going on as long as you, the guest, are happy.

The Four Seasons pretty much anywhere. They've been most accommodating and understand simple manners and the concept of privacy and discretion.

Moreover, from my experience, most of the hotels in the Preferred Hotel Group have proven to be top notch at catering to those of us engaged in extracurriculars, whether they realized it or not.

Lastly, many of the higher end resorts in Vegas are also wonderful about privacy protection. It's too bad the inebriated tourists tend to interfere if they recognize either party.

I'll admit that I'm not very well traveled in the US, but I'd highly recommend some of the RIU resorts in Jamaica. The hotels are as beautiful as the beach! I dig in-room jacuzzi, whatever country I'm in

If you're both reasonably fit, I also recommend the Austrian Alps in the summer time. Some light hiking and a bottle of Riesling make for very romantic afternoons.

The Four Seasons in Las Vegas has the best of both worlds. It sits on top of Mandalay Bay, so you have access to their facilities, but the Four Seasons itself has no casino and is an oasis of peace and quiet in Vegas. I love it there. The Wynn is also amazing.

Even though I live in NYC, I do have gentlemen friends who fly in to see me sometimes (often as part of a business trip for them), and it's great showing them around here! I typically recommend the St. Regis, New York Palace Towers or Gramercy Park Hotel if they have a choice in where to stay. Top service there.

I haven't traveled out of the country much with gentlemen, but have had some great times in Cabo San Lucas and Paris, France. The Hotel de Crillon was superlative in its service.

The Caribbean is also great. Lots of wonderful little islands there that I'd love to spend a weekend exploring and enjoying!

While I have not had a hotel go the extra mile like the Trump Sonesta (Wow!), in speaking with a couple of friends who are managers of upscale hotels, it's clear they know that their hotels are frequently used for "extra curricular activities". Provided things are kept discreet in public, it doesn't matter that on checkout your room is covered with varying degrees of rose petals, mini-bar bottles, candle wax, condom wrappers and palm prints on the windows...

Hotel managers from 1 diamond to 5 diamonds (since we now talk in terms of diamonds) recognize the importance discreet liasons play in their business...P4P, civie, extramarital, sub/dom, fetish etc. as long as your behavior doesn't impair the stay of other (also valued) guests or attract unwanted attention from other parties (LE, media, etc.)...once you cross that line all bets are off.....

If in San Francisco would recommend the Mandarin Hotel specifically the Lotus or Oriental Suite if you go to wine country Calistoga Lodge.

As I posted on aspd psvresort.com is a world of its own. It is very low key. I do remember on one of the visits on the boat back to Union Island (to fly to Barbados to the US), there was an attractive couple who we never saw the entire time we where there. I couldn't figure out if it was BF/GF, P4P, or hubby/wifey. But it seemed like they had a really nice time hibernating in their cottage.

I love Villa del Sol in Zihuatanejo, but it has recently changed its name and gone under new management. It was built and run by a German, and had the perfect combo of Mexican style, European cuisine and German efficiency. I believe it is now called "The Tides", but I can't imagine it's the same - if for no other reason than you'll no longer see Helmut strolling the grounds of his masterpiece.

I've yet to go, but I am I dedicated to the proposition (once I find the right companion), of visiting the Four Seasons in Nevis.

I love that hotel, though I still persuade my suitors to stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel just so we can have drinks in the Polo Lounge. I have also found Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara, CA to be very nice, it's a short 2hr drive from LAX but well worth the drive once you've arrived - http://www.bacararesort.com/. It sits on 85 acres and even has a ranch for all your horse lovers and riders.

Lily, I love those pink umbrellas outside the cabanas and The Polo Lounge pours the best drinks ever and they should for $18 a pop; but you never have to worry about being "spotted"unless you are followed by fifteen photographers or look like Donald Trump.
