Default Can you imagine the rush of riding a 90 ft. wave?

This blows me away. I rode some three footers in Galveston.

I saw the video and my first thought was HOLY SHIT!!!!!!

The biggest surf I have ever been in was maybe 6-7' waves when I was very young and VERY stupid and was not wearing a life vest of any kind.

THAT wave amazes me.

It also made me think of that movie "Point Break"....

If you do not get pounded by the wave, I am sure he had a good high for several hours.

Oh, wow!

Thanks for posting that, cookie man. Amazing video.

Like you, "three-footers" in Galveston are about all I've ever ridden. Although they looked bigger to me at the time (around age 10-13) I'm pretty sure three-footers was just about what they were.

A few friends who surfed off the California coast as teenagers told me that 8-10 footers can look like monsters when they're coming your way!

I've never sky dived. So far my biggest "rushes" have been the roller coaster at Six Flags, para-sailing in Cancun, and snow skiing the Blacks at Purgatory.

Imagine sitting on your surfboard, seeing those gigantic fuckin' waves coming, catching one and knowing if you make one mistake you could be at the bottom of the ocean.

If that surfboard camera had been on me, you probably would have seen shit running down my legs!

If anyone is interested the Maverick Big Wave invitational http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mavericks_(location) is held in N. California (Half Moon Bay) near SF. Great event waves can get up to 50ft depending on conditions. Is amazing to watch these guys ride a 30-50ft wave in person especially knowing how dangerous it is.
