I was recently surprised at the amount of venom certain ladies have toward any customer who even dares to request her first appointment of the day.

Personally, I do not see any reason why some ladies are up in arms over such a reasonable request, but it has been noted.

So are there any other little things that a customer may innocently ask for that may be met with such animosity?

. . . I can understand how haggling over price or wanting something not on her menu might upset her, but then arguing with a woman's logic has never been productive so it's better just to avoid that scene.

There is actually a long list of valid reasons as why a client might request the first appointment.

For instance, having the first appointment would free up the rest of the day for one good example for someone with a tight schedule.

. . .However, the real problem that I see here is that some providers come up with some very ugly reasons that they themselves concoct "in their pretty little heads" and then project them into the minds of their customers who never even imagined them in the first place and then feel justified in hating them for that imagined crime.

So you want to see her at, say, 8am? Well, what if she saw someone at 6am, but is totally down to see you at 8am? That's fine? Seems to be. So why are you worried about asking for first of the day if it is just an early hour you're wanting? Just ask for 8am and quit being a douchebag.

Edit: Oh, and please do list the "long list" of "valid reasons." I'd love to hear them.
