Looks like Boston Marathon Bombers are caught - Sunil Tripathi & Mike Mulugeta
There are a shitload of tweets posted here on Andrew Sullivan's website:
http://dish.andrewsullivan.com/2013/...ts-identified/
http://dish.andrewsullivan.com/2013/...mbridge-ctd-2/
http://dish.andrewsullivan.com/2013/...cambridge-ctd/
It sounds like there was open combat in Cambridge and/or Watertown.
One of them is a Brown student that went missing in March. Check out this Facebook page. It is pathetic:
http://cc.bingj.com/cache.aspx?q=sun...SeWxqLMiqIiDje
I had a gut reaction even before I first saw the photos of these two in the baseball caps, hoodies, and preppy slacks. They looked just like a thousand other college kid from the good schools in the Boston area (Harvard, BU, MIT, etc.).
The gut reaction was that the bombers (even before the photo came out) might turn out to some smart-ass student radical/anarchist types. No one claimed credit for the bombing, which Al Qaeda surely would have done within hours. And the bombing occurred in a big college area. And the bombers had to be smart enough to build home-made IEDs that went off perfectly and without blowing them up, too.
So, student radicals came to mind. Know-it-all Ivy League types that were going to teach the rest of us benighted folks a lesson. Real Loeb & Leopold type losers.
Of course, they could still turn out to be radical Islamists. We should have a better idea in a few hours.

Yahoo is not exactly my favorite source for news but the capture of at least one of the suspects is being reported on its website.

Unconfirmed report from another news site that "Pete Williams (of NBC News) also shoots down the much-bandied rumor that the suspect in the white hat was a Brown University student who had been missing since March 16."
(edit: add link to NBCNews twitter feed https://twitter.com/NBCNews
"Speculation that one of bombing suspects is a missing student is not correct, sources tell @PeteWilliamsNBC")
If that's right, this thread is some top notch work, falsely identifying a missing college student suffering from depression as a terrorist mass murderer, based on the Internet rumor mill, and putting his real name in the thread title! EXCELLENT NEWS for ECCIE and the Sandbox forum. And fits so well with the ECCIE policy of "no outing, no posting real names". I understand perfectly, that policy applies only to "outing" of certain types of activities and does not apply to falsely accusing an innocent person of being a mass murderer.
ECCIE and Sandbox, you're the greatest!

Both are illegals?
So much for our "borders are secure" boast by Obama.

One or more may have been "enrolled," which is a good way to enter this country.....
.... it is being reported that 2 of them had military training outside of the U.S.
I'm willing to wait to hear the final word, ...
..rather than all the premature speculation and rejoicing.
The "pro-administration-you-are-doing-a-good-job" crowd vote:
"disgruntled student gone crazy"!
The "anti-administration" crowd: "international terrorist" entering illegally.
Who ever they are .. they killed and hurt a lot of people. Now some more.
While the near Waco disaster is essentially ignored by the media. Texas?

Wrong again, from USAToday
Both suspects have been in the U.S. for at least a year, living as legal U.S. residents in Cambridge

Without a link, it is impossible to know if you quoted the USA today story correctly.....................
And because they have been here for a year or longer; doesn't mean they were legal.
And how can I be wrong...I asked the question............
Again, BL posts another one of his "sources" without a link.

Wrong again!
Looks like the story was wrong again.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/19/us/bos...nce/index.html
According the latest reports, they're Brothers, originally from Chechnya, here legally with visas. The older one, 26, is dead and was a community college dropout, the other 19, worked as a lifeguard at Harvard.

Well, I just saw this - looooong sleep this AM.
Looks like the first two names are wrong. I can't find an update on Andrew Sullivan about who the first two guys were.
Looks like they may not be student radicals like my gut reaction felt.
Unfortunately, they do appear - yet again - to be Muslim fanatics.
Not Tea Party types. Sorry to disappoint some of the more incoherent left.

Insofar as the Obama administration controls the FBI, appointed the men in charge, and directed them to go all out and get the guys, I'll give them credit. The 90% of the time they fuck things up, I point that out, too.
