It did....there was a reason why you did not do it again. Had you done it again the news would be about a Democratic sweep in Congress.

Spin much?

We had a shutdown. It didn't hurt. Almost every GOP incumbent was re-elected; not so with the Democrats. The GOP Senate is now more conservative than BEFORE the shutdown. What proof do you have to the contrary.

60%+ of the govt wasn't "shutdown." I believe with the exception of govt "workers" and those dependent on those workers and their money most people understood the situation.

I believe in a week or two, the pain of Obamacare will be felt. In the past couple of weeks Obama has touted how the cost of healthcare has gone down. My company's health care went up 20% for next year. Dental didn't budge. By 2016 the pain of his signature legislation may cost Hillary her throne.

Correct. But I have NO faith that the GOP leadership has any intention of following thru on defunding/dismantling Obamacare. They will pass a couple of legislative changes and call it a day. The Mitch Mcconnell GOP loves big government and expanding the Administrative state.

Go back and look at the polls a year ago when it happened. It was clearly hurting the GOP at the time. It didn't hurt them permanently because voters have short memories.

Not at all. It just doesn't believe in committing political suicide to prove a point.

Shir-LIE-turd, having totally defeated POTUS, securing the border and restoring order to the world, is now shifting his attention to the do-nothing GOP Congress.

A cowpie's work is never done.

I know what the polls said at the time. I also know what the media told us at the time. I also know what Democrats said, and many silk stocking Republicans said.

But the shut down didn't hurt the GOP in the election.....the brand is stronger than it has been in a decade !

Obviously had the election occurred during the shutdown (or shortly thereafter) it would have been bad on the GOP....

But we were told by the media, liberals, and establishment GOP that the brand would be punished in the elections for the shutdown.

It didn't happen.

The shutdown occurred only 12 months ago; the next election is 24 months away.....plenty of time for the GOP to have another shutdown.

Turning off the cash spigot is the only way to stop the Federal behemoth that Obama presides over. I suspect that Jeff Sessions will do targeted line item mini-shutdowns as Chairman of the Budget committee.

GOP had the lowest approval rating, however they were voted in. Must have been the dumb liberals.

Why do you keep obsessing about guys sucking cocks?

You need to quit hanging out at Nau's Drug just outside of Clarksville.
