can anybody help me with internet access?

I'm down in West Texas for a family issue and will be here for a few weeks.it wasn't until I got down here did I discover that Clear doesn't work here. I have to have internet access for my regular job. By chance would anybody have an internet card or stick that I could borrow during my stay? I would be happy to pay for the service.

Go to Verizon and get one from them, you have to sign up but you have 30 days to take it back. If I was still down there I would give you mine. Another thing you can do is get on http://v4.jiwire.com/hot-spot-direct...&provider_id=0 that is a wifi hot spot directory, if the link doesn't work try www.jiwire.com

Thanks OBC, but Verizon doesn't work in this area. Has to be AT&T, Virgin Mobile or "maybe" T-Mobile works.

are you refering to Clearwire? It should work here because I was field tech for them last year. What kind of notebook do you have? It should have built wireless card in it. You just may need to turn it on. The hotels have free Wifi, and McDonalds is free.

Yes clearwire. I'm not in Lubbock anymore. It doesn't work where I'm at. My wireless is on but all the access points are secured. I can't go sit in Mcdonalds and work an 8 hour shift. I can't leave the house for long periods due to the reason I am here. So I have to find a way to get a laptop stick. Just thought I would ask the community.

I know that if you are in deadzone or or outside of range of tower signal then Clearwire will not work.
