Default RILEY GAINES: I WAS ASSAULTED BY A TRANSGENDER MOB AND THIS IS WHAT I PLAN TO DO NEXT

In her own words, since some leftists and tranny lovers seem to doubt her

BY RILEY GAINES
On April 6, I was invited to visit San Francisco State University to do exactly what I’ve been doing the past year: sharing my personal experience competing against a biological male and explaining why it’s critical that we protect the female category in sport. I’m a former 12x All-American swimmer and have been speaking out after tying biological male Lia Thomas at the NCAA championships last year.

When I accepted the invitation from Turning Point USA and Leadership Institute to speak in San Francisco, I knew there were going to be people in the room who did not share the same opinions as me. But this is something that excites me — not because I’m looking for controversy, but because it means I would have the opportunity to open eyes and change minds. I thought I knew what I was getting myself into when agreeing to speak at this university, but I was wrong. There was no way to prepare myself for what happened.

I was able to successfully deliver a speech to a room full of people who were there in support as well as opposition. There was some heckling, but for the most part, the speech and Q&A were civil. That changed quickly. As soon as I finished speaking, a storm of protesters entered the room from the hallway. They rushed to the front of the room, flickered the lights, and physically assaulted me and others.

In the midst of this chaos, I was initially escorted out of the room by an undercover SFSU Campus Police officer. In the hallway, we were only met with even more profane, vengeful protesters who were ready to attack. Uniformed campus police came to our aid. We were forced into another room in the hallway, where I was barricaded for over three hours. In those hours, the mob screamed, chanted, and yelled.

I heard them yell, “You did this to yourself”; “You come on this campus and think we’re not going to start a riot?”; and “Let her out, so we can handle her, we aren’t letting up.”

From inside the room, I could hear the protesters trying to negotiate money from me for my safe passage home. They claimed it was only fair for me to pay them since I got paid by the university to be there (which was not true). And I heard them yell at the Black police officers who were protecting me, “You’re protecting a White woman with white privilege.”

I missed my flight home because I couldn’t safely leave the room. Finally, the city of San Francisco Police Department showed up and helped develop an exit strategy. The officers formed a diamond around me and pushed through the mob to get outside.

I had to run to the car because we were met with more protesters outside who were also running at the car. I was still in desperate fear for my safety the entire time I was in San Francisco and until I was eventually able to board a plane for the return flight home.

At the moment, I was unnerved and shaken, but it was evident to me why they felt it necessary to not let my voice be heard. It was because I was speaking the truth and common sense and they had no other way to dissuade from my argument. The realization of this reassured me that I was doing something right. When they want to silence you, it means it’s time to speak even louder.

The protesters’ plan backfired on them. They intended to silence me, but they only gave me a larger platform. My social media following quadrupled, and the public support around the world to protect women’s sports and sex-based rights skyrocketed. The general public is now more eager to get involved in the fight than ever before.

People always wonder why more women aren’t speaking up (especially the female athletes who have firsthand experience competing against a male). This is why. They don’t want to be faced with an angry mob who wants to silence them, harass them, and hurt them. They don’t want to be labeled as transphobic, or a bigot, or hateful, but it doesn’t make you any of those things by acknowledging women are biologically different than men and deserve respect, safety, privacy, and equal opportunities.

What happened at San Francisco State was horrific and frightening — but this experience has only strengthened my resolve. To be targeted for standing for women just shows I must be doing something right.

Riley Gaines is a 12-time NCAA All-American, five-time SEC Champion and record holder, and two-time Olympic trial qualifier. She is also spokeswoman for the Independent Women’s Forum.

This is one account. Let's see more. No one should shirk from wanting to get a full accounting of what happened, or as full as we can get.

Sadly, her statement is lacking in critical details I was really hoping to see.

Eh, I just have no need here to rush to judgement. You're just ok with making those calls with less info. Let's say you're better at managing ambiguity and I need more facts.

I didn't weigh in on the Trump charges in NY and said I wanted to see the actual charges. Still not finalized an opinion and want to see the cases.

Waited until I saw the cases presented against Rittenhouse because I wanted to see both cases. You'll recall I felt the state hadn't made the case.

Some of her story. We supposedly also have an undercover officer and multiple uniformed officers who were on scene. So far no charges or arrests. Doesn't mean they're not coming.

Key... so far.

I've already said violence isn't appropriate. Already said that threats and intimidation aren't appropriate. That anyone who broke the law should be held accountable.

That's gonna have to tide you over for now even though you made a new thread to cover the same basic topic

... Berry didn't actually ask YOU to comment, mate. ...

He just posted this thread to show you Riley's comments
in her-own words.

... I haven't seen anybody else doubt that the events
Riley has described... Haven't seen anybody allege
they did not happen.

.... Just YOU.

... Now perhaps the reason we haven't heard much from
the police or the school is because they fear a lawsuit
and don't wanna comment. .... Reckon we'll surely find out.

He doesn't have to. We all comment about what we chose to.

Expand your horizons if you want to see doubts. My minor skepticism about 2 punches is nothing compared to folks actually on the left up in arms and comparing her to Smollett.

I think it's likely there was violence. Again, very inappropriate. Let's see the details. The consequences. The justice. As much of the story that there is to tell. Why is that a problem to challenge a narrative and want more than just one account? More than just a snippet of video?

there is a major point being missed here by most......

lets forget for a moment that there may have been punches thrown or physical violence

ask yourself this... if the pro tranny faction were protesting in china or russia or the middle east, what do you think would happen?
my guess is they would suddenly disappear, never to be seen again

they are only able to do this because of our freedoms here but what the far left doesnt seem to grasp is that these same freedoms they have must be given to those who have the opposite views and they must respect those views and give them the respect to have their views. even if there was any violence , they screamed, they shouted down, they chased the person giving a opposite opinion. not respectful, not giving the other view even consideration

thats whats wrong with extremists.... there is no discussion, its either you agree or you are to shutup or be destroyed......

And if there are charges to be brought from that conduct they should be pursued

... But just WHOM will they charge?
In liberal California?

... No arrests were made. ... The liberals control
society now in many of the blue states.
The police are scared and powerless.

... Riley just needs to surely follow that trite and true
words of our Australian philosopher - Confushiss
and - "SUE the BASTARDS!" ...

LOL. You really think there will be justice in far left San Francisco. Hell, instead of punishing the idiots who ambushed and attacked Riley Gaines, the leftist administrators at the University praised the radical tranny protestors for their actions against Riley Gaines. No apology.

No justice will come from the University or California. And you know that and are counting on that.

San Francisco State University endorsed the erasure of women this week when its top student affairs administrator released a statement reaffirming the transgender activists who attacked women’s rights speaker Riley Gaines.

Footage of the attack on SFSU’s campus shows the former NCAA swimmer being chased by a crowd yelling “trans rights are human rights” and calling the swimmer a “transphobic b-itch.”

Gaines reported that, during the chaos, she was assaulted by at least one man and trapped in a room for three hours. The mob also attempted to extort money from her in exchange for her freedom before she was finally able to escape.

They're investigating, aren't they? Is she filing a criminal complaint? Has she?

I hate ever interjecting in these issues but truth be told, the first amendment rights are for both sides, not just for one or the other...add the there's a huge difference between a peaceful protest and a riot...lefties certainly get coddled while police are villians for trying to protect innocent bystanders property and rights.

Its hard enough to be happy in life so I dont care if you're gay, trans ect...I'll respect your choices and be happy for you if you find peace and happiness in your life but that said, your rights, right to free speech, protest should be no greater than my rights or anyone elses rights.

Is everyone in the world going to like you if you're a trans or gay? NO! I'm straight and not everyone likes me, its a part of life and they need to deal with it. You cant demand respect, you need to earn respect and you cant just keep blaming whites and straight people as the reason some people dont like you. The blame game? being a victim 24/7? some love it as its an excuse to their own failures or an excuse to even try and succeed.

Agree with the sentiment. A prevalent issue on the left, but it applies just as much to those on the right who play the victim card constantly. Let's not pretend they don't exist or get a pass.

There will always be folks who push things too far. And those who belittle, demean and bully or instigate because they're too small of a person to sit and have critical conversations... which requires listening.

If we engaged in actual listening, I feel most folks would be better off. We'd have more productive and fulfilling conversations
