Default Trump says if elected he will force federal workers to pass a political test and fire them if they fail

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...21172.html?amp

"“I will require every federal employee to pass a new civil service test, demonstrating an understanding our constutitional limited government,” he said."

Says the guy who asked why you couldn't just shoot protestors.

Says the guy who likely wouldn't be able to pass the test himself

Nothing like the right tighties to say they are above their own rules, huh?

Good. Shouldn't the people who work for the government understand the basic facts about government and the rights of US citizens

And it is NOT a Political Test. It is a civil service test

“I will require every federal employee to pass a new civil service test, demonstrating an understanding our constitutional limited government,” he said.

Mr. Trump said that the test would include command of due process rights, equal protection, free speech, religious liberty and Fourth Amendment to the Constitution’s protection against unreasonable search and seizure

Why would anyone oppose people paid by the taxpayers being required to understand the US Constitution and citizen's rights?

Is the test fair?

Does the president have the power to do that?

Is the test fair? Likely not. Likely it would be done with the intent to weed out anyone who work in public service who don't share the same ideals as the Trumptard

Does he have the power to do this? I'm not an expert on political law, but if I were to bet, I would say no.

Trump doesn't know what he is talking about. Ever

... IF the President has the power to FORCE
a Lockdown on the country - then I'd surely say
it's a safe wager that the President can
also require a civil service test.

... Makes sense, eh?

You’ve probably gotta know some shit about electrons to run a nuclear power plant, this isn’t much different.

It doesn’t go nearly far enough, imo. Politicians should be required to pass a test as well, a rigorous one at that. These people go to Washington, 80% of them being dumb as fuck, and all the sudden they’re part of a decision making process that affects the lives of hundreds of millions of people. They don’t know shit about fuck and all the sudden they’re experts on crime, healthcare, tax law, war, you name it. Nope, they’re just some dumbass who managed to get enough donations to run a bunch of commercials. That’s why, at this point, I’m supporting Ramaswamy for President. The guy runs intellectual rings around any candidate I’ve seen, past or present.

You would have to wait for it to be created to know that. But in principle, what normal American could disagree with wanting all government workers, paid with our tax dollars, to demonstrate an understanding of our constitutional limited government including the rights of every citizen such as due process rights, equal protection, free speech, religious liberty and Fourth Amendment to the Constitution’s protection against unreasonable search and seizure.

And Jacuzzme - I agree. There needs to be an even more rigorous test for politicians

None of this will matter. trump will never come close to even touring the White House again, let alone living there.

No. It's an apple and an orange. A one-size-fits all test wouldn't work and likely violate federal law. Unions would revolt and it would be tied up in courts for years and removed by the very next Dem President like Schedule F

They need to address 2 things. Is it fair. It is within the president's authority.
