A pardon? No, but some immunity from prosecution for some things (like reporting the illegal activity on the part of his former employers). If he continues about other things then he should be prosecuted for treason. He needs to walk a very fine line to stay on the side of good.

Agreed. I think he should have the same rights as any other whistleblowers under our justice system. No more, no less.

He should be subject to what ever laws govern such activities. IF a grand jury determines he has broke the law, then that is up to a jury to decide.

Confirmation that our Government is conducting broad sweeping data mining is a good thing to know about; as far as I know Snowden hasn't exposed any actionable national secrets that could be used against us.

Certainly, that knowledge is good for us as the public to have and he should be afforded whatever legal protection he is due under the law.

However, if it came out that he has exposed other items where he's not protected from exposing, then he should also be punished (under the law) for doing so.

No offense, but this is something I don't understand. This guy made 6 figures for a few years doing this, then decides it's unlawful. So he remedies it by doing something illegal. He should be I guess thanked for letting us know what we already knew, and then prosecuted for a security violation. Same as Manning, without the treason charge because neither one seem to have explicitly given the information to the enemy.
