Has anyone taken a second dose of Viagra in the same day?

I recently started using Viagra and it works well. I use it according to the directions (take an hour or so before play time). However, I've been wondering if it would be ok to take a second dose in the same day (several hours later). The instructions say to only do one a day. However, what if I had some morning fun and then wanted to play again later that day? By then, the initial pill has worn off. Is it going to kill me to pop another one? Has anyone used Viagra like this before? What was your experience?

I read somewhere that the half-life of Viagra is about 6 hours. From that you can probably do the math.

I never taken 2 in one day, I would be causious in doing that, you might end up with an erection lasting longer than 4 hours then you will need to go see a doctor to help you out, besides if you was to take a whole one you should not have a problem at either appointment,

A half of a 100mg ( 50mg ) will last me about 10-12 hours . I do not have any actual medical reason to take it and that might be why it last me that long . It does give me one hell of an insane hard on .

Note that Viagra comes in 3 different dosages. It is available in 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg.

The prescribing directions state that it can be taken up to one dose daily. I would assume that this is mostly based upon a person of normal ability being able to eliminate the drug from their system. I would therefore assume that if you were taking the 50mg dose (the most common), that a second dose poses little additional risk. You may find that taking a second dose consisting of only 25mg may be able to achieve the desired effect, as the first dose may not have been entirely eliminated. Most drugs pose very little risk until going over the maximum recommended dosage.

The safest bet is to talk with your doctor... but the PDR does state that the drug is only for a single daily dose.

Note that as the drug comes in 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg doses, if you only need one of the lower dosages, you can normally get your doctor to prescribe at double the dosage you need. If you are on insurance, many plans limit the number of doses they will pay for, so this gets you double the amount. If you are not on insurance, the difference in price between the dosages is very low, so getting the higher dosage almost halves the cost of the medication.

Or you might consider asking your Doc about Cialis. It last about 72 hours.

You'll probably be safe to take a second dose. But if you do have an erection lasting longer than four hours you should go see a doctor. Like Really. That shit sounds awesome but has some nasty side effects. There is a spider whose bite does just that, doctors have to drain the blood from the penis or else it goes stagnant, pool and keeps gathering. Since the four hour erection is a sign that it is not flowing out. And it will get very painful.

Side note: I forget which spider is Death Viagra. I can look it up, but I like sleeping without nightmares. You have google you can look for it's name. But rest assured it is tropical.

My doc gave me samples of Cialis, Levitra and Viagra to try. Viagra seemed to work the best without too much side effect, so that is why I chose it even though the others are supposed to last longer.

From what I can find on the web, the half-life of Viagra is 4 hours. So, if I took a half dose 4 hours after the initial dose, it seems that I would just be replenishing what wore off. Perhaps I'll give that a shot.

skirtchaser - what dosage did you double-up on?

Would still be interested to hear from others who have actually done it.
