Good steak house in El Paso?
I'm going to take a business partner to lunch in a couple of weeks and I know he loves steak. Can you EP boys recommend a decent steak house? Since I'm not sure about where we'll be at that time I need recommendations for both the east and west side of town. Nice but not outrageously expensive. Must have good steak and good service. Thanks!

I like Cattleman's in Fabens. I usually spend about $80 for 2 when i go. Alcohol is pricey there.

Cattleman's is truly a good place for a steak but that's a helluva long drive for lunch. That said, if you would rather stay closer to town, I've read good things on Yelp about Bogarts on the westside. Cattle Baron on Airway near the airport is also a good place for steak. Both places are open for lunch.

Stateline (on Sunland Park, past Doniphan), as well as the Magic Pan (on Doniphan on the west side, err Upper Valley?) also have great steak...

Thanks for the recommendations. I've been to Cattleman's in Fabens and while it is very good it's much too far. We're only going to have a window of 90 minutes tops to eat. I think Stateline might be good unless I'm taking him to the airport immediately after we eat.

Ah Billy Crews, hadn't been there in some time. Ate a lot of steak and drank a lot of spirits there.

Garufa, by far the best steak house (outstanding service, good wine list, upper level restaurant, can be pricey though, never had a bad piece of meat there, ie. Tenderloin is ~$50, but most the time I can not even come close to finishing is---big piece of meat, not the 'ol 6 or 8 oz ). Cattlemans is always very good, but a long drive. Billy Crews can be hit and miss. Run of the mill steakhouses, Cattle Baron, Great American, Pelicans, Mesa Street Bar and Grill. Good Steakhouse with a Mexican flare is Corralito's. The other ones Twain spoke of I do not know. Enjoy. I think any of Twain suggestions will be good

I was in town for business recently and had a great tenderloin steak at Ardovino's Desert Crossing in Sunland Park on the Westside. They also have a unique setting like Cattlemans.
