Default GOOD GOVERNMENT DISAPPEARS....WHERE WAS OBAMA ??

Congress Quietly Repeals Congressional Insider Trading Ban

Both parties and both houses of Congress hated the disclosure portion of the law so much that it was repealed on Friday without debate—the measure was sent to the president by unanimous consent. The ordeal took about 10 seconds in the Senate and 14 seconds in the House, according to official records.

The STOCK Act would have required members of Congress, their aides, and other federal employees making more than $119,554 a year to disclose their financial dealings in an online database. It was supposed to prevent government officials from using insider knowledge about policy-making to profit from stock trades and other investments.

The Tea Party also agrees; and thinks congress finances should be more transparent; they also believe in the citizen-representative, too many lifers in Congress that get very rich....one reason why smaller government is always better.

Answer to the question: Where was Obama ????

He was quietly signing the repeal of the Stock Act.....

So much for his pledge of "transparency"............

I like this reply to the link you supplied. He kinda has a point. Whirly, if you weren't such a one sided asshole , you'd have realized that both parties are at fault a long time ago.

Now this proves once and for all, that President Obama is NOT a socialist. If he were, he would never have allowed this provision of the Stock Act to to delete…

Obama is one of the worse kinds of Socialists; like the French Socialists, they sqawk about taxing the wealthy, but hide their fortunes in Swiss accounts.........

Obama is a Socialist; he once (and still may be) was a member of the New Socialist Party !

His political philosophy is Socialism; he just wants to enrich himself along the way....no surprise, no revelation, no contradiction. Like most politicians (right or left)....

You sound like the mother of the Boston Bombers...can't see the facts even when they are slapping you in the face. My son didn't do it and Obama is a socialist! The congressmen who sent the bill to him are all fine free market capitalist!

Your comparison is very lame; you do know Obama was a member of the New Party, right ?

And his re-distributive government is definitely Socialism at work...thank god for the rise of the Tea Party...otherwise Obama's socialism would be a runaway train......

(Not you WTF) !

Both John Stewart and Breitbart are in agreement on this issue; why not the Sandbox Obamazombies ??

I'm not defending him on this issue. I think he should have veto'd it.

That said, I'd like to know who in congress voted for this.

***after a bit of digging, it appears the leaders of both Houses did this BS at the top level.

I'm not one to call my congressmen but I will do so on this BS.
