I've started to become paranoid about BBBJ. Has anyone got chlamydia or gonorrhea with it? I've started to become paranoid that I could give it to my SO. Thoughts?

Nope ... and I've been comprehensively tested.

I don't worry about "giving it" to my SO because of why I'm here ... my SO and I don't do anything that could result in her acquisition of an STI/STD. If you and your SO are in a warmer relationship, perhaps you should reconsider your participation in the demimonde.

No im always clean and tested but yes you can easily catch one of those stds. Both can live in the mouth and be transmitted and both for the most part dont show symptoms thats how many never know they are infected til they get tested. We go into the hobby knowing the risks so its up to you to decide what makes you feel safe. Cover it up during a blowjob or not thats your choice.

You should be fine. Possible but improbable to get an std from oral. Anecdotally my dick has been in plenty women's mouths over the past decades (way too many to count) civvys, hoes, whores, strippers, one night stands, escorts, from all over the USA and I've never had any std (my urologist tests me annually when I visit because he doesn't approve of my lifestyle but wants to make sure I'm not a walking pathogen).

Brittany, you'd need a swab, probably a throat swab, to test for chlamydia or gonorrhea. Otherwise it seems like it would be hard to tell the difference between a regular sore throat and an STD. I figured providers wouldn't commonly get tested for oral/throat Chlamydia or Gonorrhea. Am I wrong?

If a provider had an occasional round of azithromycin (Z-pack) or doxycycline for something else, an upper respiratory infection or whatever, it would knock out any chlamydia or gonorrhea that's not drug resistant, so it wouldn't be with a person for the rest of her life.

Of course you test for both with a swab test. I have a pussy and get tested I know! A sore throat from a cold/flu is viral and will naturally go away on its own in a few days. A sore throat from a std infection will not go away on its own until you get treatment so im pretty sure the average person would notice somethings wrong if you have a sore throat for over a week without any other cold like symptoms. I have good health insurance that pays for all testing as often as I like. I dont know what other providers do but since im sucking dick (bbbj) I do ask for a throat swab from my obgyn since im already having the other testing done. If im checking my pussy im checking my mouth to. Chlamydia can be cured easily with a z pack, however gonnorhea treatment requires an injectable antibiotic ceftriaxone or cefixime and typically a zpack since most people who have chlamydia have gonnorhea will have both. Many strands of gonnorhea are now resistant to most of the antibiotics available so its getting harder to cure.

Thanks for your post. You should be applauded for getting regular throat swabs. I bet the majority of providers don't do that.

In gonorrhea treatment, the reason for the azithromycin (zpack) isn't to cure chlamydia, it's to cure the gonorrhea. They prescribe both drugs in case the strain is resistant to either ceftriaxone or azithromycin. Doxycycline can be substituted for azithromycin, but there are more gonorrhea strains that are resistant to doxycycline and you have to take it for 7 days, versus a single dose with azithromycin. On the other hand, azithromycin recently has been linked with possible heart problems.

If a person is going to self medicate, he/she could take 2 grams of azithromycin in one dose. This will knock out chlamydia, and also gonorrhea if it's not drug resistant. I've done this after having unprotected sex with one woman, prior to having sex with a second, as a preventive measure. That is, I didn't have symptoms, but wanted to make damn sure I didn't give anything to the second. If I had symptoms, I'd definitely see a doctor. From experience, 2 grams of azithromycin is hard on the stomach. If I were married, I'd have a stash of azithromycin on hand in case a condom broke, or otherwise hot foot it to a doctor before having sex with my wife. And I'd be getting CBJ's with providers.

Getting herpes through a BBBJ is pretty unlikely, especially if you've already had HSV-1 (cold sores on your mouth).

I've done quite a few BBBJ's since my start as escort in early 2010 that often lead to CIM or NQNS. I've weighed risks, get tested thoroughly with blood every 3 months (including with throat swabs), annually I get a well-woman exam that includes pelvic exam/pap test and with those cultures I have them test for STD's as well. Still clean as a whistle.

GreekFleek your risks are fairly low however if the paranoia is bothering you that much then go the CBJ route...most "BBBJ providers" won't be offended if you ask for a CBJ.

as a man it is your responsibility to be tested every 3-4 months. many STD's do not show symptoms and if you bring one home to the Mrs. you will be knee deep in shit.
