Reviews, hobbist vs provider?
Hello everyone out there wherever you are!
I am getting ready to put out a showcase and my contact info next week. In anticipation of meeting potential new clientele, I will try to communicate as transparently as possible in order to avoid any misunderstandings. The way I see
it, I am not for everyone nor is every potential inquiry for me. (Duh!) Finding the right person to see is sort of like dating, not every person is a match or compatible. Guys don't want to lay out their hard earned cash only to be disappointed or worse, to feel outright cheated. Personally, I would prefer to have someone make an initial first impression and decide to leave before beginning a session than to burn and churn over it and perhaps even publish a negative review.
That being said, I have never asked for a single review. As of late, with the few people I have seen who have graciously offered to write a nice review, I have specifically asked them to please refrain from any review of me. I realize this is confusing to some, as some women are very proud of their positive, glowing reviews and that many clients trust a review over a phone interview of a provider and her pics. Personally, I find reviews to be very intrusive of my privacy. I feel they are about as invasive as secretly filming a session. Of course, if I ever did anything that truly warranted a negative review, I feel that is only fair on the part of the reviewer to report something glaringly wrong in an effort to warn others of a legitimate alert as we women do to warn others about a potentially harmful male client who should be avoided at all costs. I also happen to have a very important person in my life who is an eccie member and has unfortunately and accidentally read a very telling personal review of me and I would prefer that it not happen again. Just as most men reading this would not want your significant other reading a tell all of your secret encounter as we all have a right to privacy in what personal choices we decide to make.
All that being said, would you refuse to see a woman who seemed nice and who was easy to communicate with if she did not have any current reviews? I'm sure there are, as I have heard positive responses from potential clients who have inquired. I have had to field the question more often lately and so far the clients trusted my response.
I have a feeling a lot of you will say something like, "Oh hell no!"

Dice Roll
You have to understand the situation from the point of view of the hobbyist.
We read the reviews to get an idea of what is available on her menu, but we, or at least some of us, will try out a girl if there is enough attraction to warrant booking a session even without a review.
. . . Either way, it is eventually still a roll of the dice, but time is too precious to waste on a dry well. On the other side of the coin, there is also such a thing as too many reviews. Low volume providers have always been more fun for me personally.

I guess it depends on your area. In our community in Oklahoma, there is a very popular provider who posts in her P411 bio that she doesn't want reviews and so none are written about her, but there have been numerous threads in the Men's Lounge from multiple clients recommending her to other hobbyists. I've seen her a couple times and am also a definite fan and sing her praises when the subject comes up.
SO, it is possible to have a "no review" policy and still be popular and do well if your services are truly "knock their socks off" when you do see your clients. Word of mouth will do the rest for you.

Before I contact a lady for an appointment, I do my research. Part of the research includes checking the lady's website and reviews. Those with none or only a few (from newbies), I pass - however, IF a respected, senior member of the board(s) endorses the lady, my research is completed and I contact the lady. I have met a few UTR ladies based on the endorsements of great board members and did not regret it. I concur with Fast Gunn - the low volume ladies are usually the ones that provide great sessions.
So...short answer, NO/few Reviews = No appointment, BUT endorsements from trusted, valued members of board(s) results in a more likely to make an appointment.
Good luck!

Reviews are an important part of my research. I would be leery of seeing a lady without reviews. Now if she could send me the name of someone who has seen her, then I could PM that person for a reference.

Thanks for the comments, guys! Appreciate your thoughts.
Yeah, real and current photos are a must. I have never been a "by the book" type, ever. I don't see a ton of people, as I am only one person and it's easy to burn out if you try to please everyone. All I can do is be myself and keep going business as usual. I have found that I get enough recommendations and approvals via word of mouth so that helps.
I also don't feel I'm the go to girl for major hobbyists. I'm not typical and I'm not well known with a prolific record. Suits me fine, as there are plenty of nice gentlemen out there who are just like me. Low key, UTR and I consider them the "hidden gems" that come around often enough to recognize their face and remember their personality. Happy hunting, everyone!
So to all you hobbyists: You probably aren't interested in meeting me and somehow I'll manage to survive without meeting you!

Excuse me but I'm confused. You already have a few reviews here. It seems to me the damage has already been done in that respect. Btw all of reviews are yes's. If your important friend is a BF or SO or relative then I'm even more confused. And like the other guys if a trusted member vouches for you then you should be good to go.

Clitlicker 7, I LOVE your avatar!
Yes, I am happy about my "yes" reviews. I started out on backpage as a massuse almost 4 years ago. One summer day just over 3 years ago, got a call from a client who became my ATF best I ever had and Mr. Wonderful all rolled into one. Eventually I joined eccie to learn more about this business I somehow wondered into. Showed my sweety the eccie site and he starts lurking and signs up. It's a great site! After I showed him the site, I suddenly realized he could see my reviews. Suddenly reviews were not a good thing! So wanting to have my cake and eat it too, I tried to squash any further reviews by the few eccie members I see.
As far as prolific hobbyists go, from the few I have met it just never felt like I was
the type they go for. As you could probably guess from my posts, I am a major nerd and I prefer nerdy guys. Most hobbists are well seasoned sexual veterans who prefer physical perfection and are less interested in someone who is interested in seeing them again. I prefer to build a rapport and put a little more tlc into my sessions, I like to approach men in a far more personable and considerate manner that takes the whole person into account, not just his cock and balls.
I am not stripper material and I have worked in the health care field all my employed life. I have nothing against strippers, I have seen some gorgeous talented ones and I wish I could be that sexy and limber. I am however an excellent massuse and I have a very nice incall and a flexible schedule that allows me more time and attention to my craft. I'll never win a popularity contest and that suits me just fine. I'm huggable, considerate, funny and smart. As are most of the guys I am blessed with seeing and knowing who remain forever UTR.

Don't know if you would consider me one of those prolific hobbyists, but I'm also a nerd. Nerds need sex too you know-

I echo Cpalmson's sentiments and comments...I too visit with various ladies, but do have my favorites that I visit over and over. Those ladies that I meet over and over are NOT stripper type - in fact, they are real ladies that have real lives and I can actually discuss various issues with them such as which Star Trek Captain do you prefer? The original, James T. Kirk, Pike, Katherine Janeway, Jonathon Archer? Hottest Star Trek chick - numerous red uniformed ladies with Kirk (and Spock), Tasha Yar (The New Generation) or Counselor Troy, Klingon/human B'Elanna Torres? The list is long - remember, resistance is futile, you will be assimilated... SO...guys do like variety (like my ATF is fond of saying) and we do go back to those ladies that we click with and meet over and over again.
If you do not advertise, how else can we meet?
Just like we do our research, ladies also have the option of NOT meeting us by using your back channel lady's forums.
Good luck in your decision and take care...
