Default New here

Hey all. I’m new to visiting independent providers and I had a few questions for you. I’m only interested in massage, and my main interest is avoiding being arrested.

If I find a provider I like online, message her, and make plans to meet, with no mention of specific services, what is my risk? Let’s say their ad has explicit language or images, BUT our messages are totally straightforward with no mention of extralegal activities. I send them a selfie/photo and a deposit, travel to their studio, and place a sum of money in plain sight upon arrival. If they initiate contact outside of the “regulations,” and I don’t stop them, and they collect the cash at the end of the massage, is it still possible that I could be charged and/or arrested?

I’m sorry for the paranoia and for likely being a little baby. I am just looking for laid back massage services but also trying to limit my risk.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting. It seems like so many providers require that, though. Are they all not legit? And what about buying a gift card in person, in cash, and then sending a photo of it to them?

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.

No deposits. Ever.

So you want massages or Indy? Or Indy that does massages with extras?

Some don't want to talk specifics over the phone / text. I'm sure the Houston forum is full of AMP and Indy reviews that you can at least contact and get started with some confidence.

Legal stuff depends on where you're at. I'm assuming Houston, but I'll give you Las Vegas.

Find out what happens if you get caught, before you get caught. Solicitation (you) / Prostitution (provider) is a Misdemeanor. 2nd offenses still misdemeanors but fines go up.

Some Lawyers (in Vegas) specialize in solic/prost and can get you out because most are entrapment. On the other-hand: no one really cares - because - misdemeanors and too much work for cops for misdemeanor and people walking anyway for first offense etc...

Nevada (usually) only cares if minors or actual trafficking is involved and usually only goes after the pimps / owners. Pimping is a felony so bigger headlines for cops. Even if you're caught up in a sting at an AMP (massage parlor), girls and customers walk away, unless they find underage girls.

Don't worry too much. Yea you could get busted or get an STD, the odds are pretty slim. Check reviews on the Houston (or wherever you're going to hobby) forums to not get a cop, have a lawyer on speed dial if you're that concerned.

Talk to a lawyer and your doctor. I don't have a lawyer on speed-dial (yet), but I've had that conversation with my doctor. He said to talk to him direct (not his staff) and it won't get to my wife. Then he started talking about how cool the test is that he has. Tests for everything at once etc... He can't wait to try it out.

Don't make a mountain out of a molehill. Get out there and do it.

If you’re interested in meeting other men for massage, listen to their advice. If you’re interested in meeting women, listen to a woman’s advice.

I don’t know any lady that will book you without knowing who you are. Do your research, find a long standing lady with positive reviews, an internet presence on several sites, that you feel is trustworthy. Follow her protocol. She may not be the hottest, the youngest, or the cheapest. She will, be theoretically a good time and intro and a future reference. You can avoid screening, deposit etc, but you risk your safety, money, and peace. It’s all up to you… good luck and have fun.

There is nothing illegal about getting a massage, unless the provider is claiming to be licensed and isn't. In that case it would be her in trouble, not you.

Fair point, but if I’m messaging a provider whose number is only posted in ads that contain explicit content, is that reason enough I could be charged with soliciting? Could I credibly claim I’m looking for legal services?

I’m concerned about being arrested, even if I “beat the case” — I live in Texas, where the cops and local news are very interested in embarrassing the accused, even if they ultimately are not guilty.

A quick google shows that both selling and soliciting are state felonies in Texas.

Thank you! This is the biggest reason I’m asking for advice—I completely understand why providers would want some identification, deposits, etc. At the end of the day, they are taking on a much more serious level of risk than I am. How can I expect a provider to book a massage appointment without a reasonable expectation of their own safety?

What I want to understand better is which screening activities carry legal risk for me and which don’t. I have money and am not worried about losing a (reasonable) deposit. What I’m worried about is texting a provider saying “I’ll meet you at X address on Y date” and boom, carted off in cuffs, booked, gotta post bail, hire a lawyer, etc. Even if our messages don’t mention illegal activity, if her number is listed on a profile where she’s nude, am I already taking on risk just by arranging an appointment?

If the conversation doesn’t discuss illegal activity, and the provider is totally in control of the session, is there any chance it could still be a sting?

I know my risk tolerance is super low, and I appreciate everyone’s input. I mean, you can’t even get on PornHub in Texas without ID or VPN.

You’re over thinking this, do what the lady below said and you’ll be fine!

New here myself.

I would say it could be a sting, but if the text conversation goes as you present, the Stinger (Cops) would not ultimately be available. You might be told no, or given a fake address. They are looking for incriminating texts, and know they can reel in many. They won't waste time trying to bust you, without stronger evidence.

Just see well reviewed providers. There is a wealth of information on Eccie on services, history, photos, and if you see a review and have a question you can PM the reviewier and ask him personally. Most of guys are always welling to help.

Participate in the forums. Make yourself known to the group, provide reviews, and ask questions.
