The following is an excerpt from a thread on a local board between a hobbyist and some providers discussing the subject of branding . This is what the hobbyist said about branding.

Every provider creates a brand even if it is unintentional. Your brand is nothing more than the collective impressions of those that view your ads, read your reviews, visit your websites and visit you as a companion. You cannot choose to not have a brand, you can only choose to shape it to your desires or let if be whatever it will be. If you choose to ignore it then your brand is controlled by those external to you and you might not be very happy with what you end up with. You are making choices by the photos you display, the verbiage you use in your ads and on your website and in how you treat clients.So few providers make the connection between what they say and do and the type of clients they attract and the fees that the can expect to collect. What I'm suggesting is that you should make conscious decisions about your business and direct the results in a way that you desire. Choosing to develop your brand is making that very decision.​
If you are happy with the results you get then either by luck or by design you have created a brand that attracts the type of clients you want. I doubt that is always the case for many. I suggest that providers should think about who they want as clients and tailor their messages to attract AND RETAIN those clients. ​

If you think that your business is so different from other business you are deluding yourself. Have you ever thought to ask a client Why he choose you out of the hundreds of possibilities? I think you will find the answers very different than what many providers think. ~ECCIE Hobbyist

The only thing I might ad to what he said above is this... Brand Recognition is equally as important. When you are competing with hundreds if not thousands in any city, you want your clients to find you and recognize you quickly. Your pictures should change often to keep clients interest, but you logo and avatar and overall style and design esthetic should remain the same,

Hello I'm very new to all this jus recently purchased a package and need advertising banners as well as a website and have no clue how to go about it. Oh, if you want a quick and cheap banner, I've used these folks. You can get a banner by tomorrow. Maybe even quicker. Last time I used them, it was like $20 bucks.

Blu... I delete my personal provider ads when the ads are not pertinent anymore. Sometimes guys do not read the dates and will contact after the special is over. I am sorry that you felt you had to say something rude about a deleted ad of mine, and I think most people would have realized the ad was simply deleted when the special wasn't available anymore. A deleted personal ad is not an indicator of my talent or love of graphic design.

When designs are complete, I do ask the provider to upload the design to her own hosting.

I did not know Tia and I do wish her the best.

You seem very sweet and to set the record straight I wasn't even referring to the photos that were no longer visible. But to be honest the ad isn't deleted..
And not to be rude...What I was most concerned about was the unsophisticated manner of the ad and you are encouraging clients to negotiate rates.

NAME YOUR PRICE :: PUSSY NEGOTIATOR.

Most ladies work hard to make sure clients DO NOT try to negotiate. Most high end ladies would not negotiate with a client for a second. Plus the verbiage is a bit crass for my taste. That is what I meant about not having you do my ads. That mind set goes against everything I have ever learned about be a sophisticated and classy provider. I am not new just new here.

This add is another example of that crass rough around the edges style you seem to possess.

I think Annie just has a sense of humor that not everyone agrees with (although I myself find it pretty funny), however with that being said, those were her ads and not ads she built for others.

I am sure if a lady wanted something more "classy and tactful", that is exactly what she could and would build them. Her ads express her style, while the ads she builds for other providers would reflect that providers style.


BTW: I've never met Annie, nor worked with her and am not speaking for her, I'm simply giving my opinion.

Yes, I do fun things with my own personal ads. But what I do with my ads to garner business for my area has nothing to do with my custom designed ads for providers to garner business for their areas. I am just paid to design the ad they desire.

And Blu, you are free to hire whoever you want to hire. I don't speak for all providers with my own personal ads. Graphic design is just a love, a hobby.. my relaxation. You didn't have to post your opinion of my own personal escort ads - what I try to do to take care of myself and my family. You could have been like "meh, not for me" and moved on. The recommendation came from a provider that I do ad designs. I confirmed that I do them.

In the end, everyone is free to make their choice.

Thanks Brooke. Everyone has their own niche and style, but it doesn't mean my designs are that for every provider. I design provider ads how THEY want them.
