Default Testing - How Often

Providers, Hobbyists, how often do you get tested just to make sure you're squeaky clean?

I would think the standard for a normally sexually active person is once a year. I go every 2-3 months to update my records.

yes, about every two to three months should be minimum.

They recommend 1-2x a year for the 'normal' person, so I go every 3 months. In Canada I go every 30-45 days.

Talking Let me just stop one thing right now...

If you had to borrow money to keep your phone on more than once in the last 12 months, we are not going to believe you budgeted money to get tested regularly, so don't even post it.

Seen this thread 100 times and I just had to say it now.

At least one of the major Dallas AMPs tests every 6 months. Given the volume they do, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Every time I read a review of any member with "Bare" in the handle, "Lido" or "RCS".

Actually, the OP feels opposite of you. Even IF you had to borrow money to keep your phone on more than once in the last 12 months, I want you to post your self-test rate. Whether I or anyone else believes you is irrelevant to the purposes I started this thread.

Nonetheless, LOL @ JGW's comment because it is indeed funny...on topic please.

I go to the doc and get a test done about every 120 days, although some diseases can lay dormant and not detected for 2 or 3 years, I think, that is why you have to get checked regularly.

I think 2-3 years is a bit long. I know HIV can lay dormant for something like 6-12 months but the rest make themselves apparent usually quite early.

Everyone should be tested at least once a year, if your sexually active.

Most curable STDs are self-detected alot earlier than going to a doctor or clinic, what I was talking about was HIV, a nurse in my doctor's office told me HIV infection has basically four stages: incubation period, acute infection, latency stage and AIDS. The incubation period is undetectable and could last a over 2 years, and the acute infection stage is where you would see the physical signs.
