Does the hobby vernacular ever sneak into your RL?
... Like telling a friend, "my (wife/SO) gave me a sloppy BBBJ and let me DATY until the sun came up!"*
Providers / hobbyists, do you ever slip into hobby speak accidentally?? Or intentionally?*

Although my friends know what I do I am very careful not to talk about it. It makes them uncomfortable and I respect that. Just like they respect my choice to do this.

Only really when there might be a story in the news or some other reference. Then I worry about how many times I've casually dropped some terms or words like "incall" or "outcall".
Can't really think of a different use for those words other than the hobby life.
And also with some words like saying escort instead of hooker, again usually in reference to some new story. I'm sure there are a few other words that to me seem to only exist in the hobby life but I've almost dropped in reference to other things.
Kind of like being in deep cover for the FBI, right? lol

Not really except when I ask a clerk how many roses does it cost.

My wife was telling me about a story on one of the daytime TV shows about a couple that moved from the Rust Belt where he was unemployed, to Nevada, where she worked in one of the legal brothels. Needless to say, she was now supporting the family in high style, and her husband was whining because she wouldn't give up the job, even though he was still not working.
In our conversation, I found myself defending the woman and her career choice and the style to which she was supporting her family, and if the guy wanted his wife to quit, he needed to find a job so she could quit.
My wife was quite shocked at my defense of the woman. I filed that away in my brain to be a little more careful....

On some recent paperwork at the bank I kept seeing GFE on the paperwork we were signing... couldn't get "Girl Friend Experience" out of my mind!!
In this case it was really "Good Faith Estimate" Lol!

I find myself biting my tongue occasionally, but I don't think I've actually slipped and said anything that would be out of line.
I'm sure I will at some point, and I'll have to play it off as a product of my twisted sense of humor.

Every time I go out to eat and salad is prepared table side, I never miss my chance to let the waiter or waitress how much I enjoyed them tossing my salad.

I was at a social event a couple of weeks ago, and someone mentioned that a close relative worked in L.E. in unit that also covers human trafficking. I parsed my words a bit, but made sure they understood the difference between regular providers in the hobby, and pimping underage kids/undocumented sex workers. Two different things entirely. The former is simply an unregulated business, and the latter is a crime against humanity.

COB is an acronym at work. I have to use my poker face. Although, no one would probably figure it out anyway.

Ha! just got an email from the local furniture store and the subject line is "What a lovely pair." Hell, I don't know what the local furniture store was advertising, but I can tell you where my mind went..... Ladies feel free to use that as your subject lines, just give the local furniture store proper credit ....
