BUT isn't it POSITEVELY craycray how so called providers phone #s, addresses, etc can be posted in the CO-ED "ALERT" area over $ lost....HOWEVER a so called hobbyists phone# can't be posted in a PROVIDER only INFO-SHARE area over a SAFETY risk? jus wondered if I am the only one who has wondered this? IJS

I don't disagree with your assessment of the double standard. I'm one who definitely thinks if there is a real danger that you should be allowed to. Biggest problem being vendettas, which does also occur with butthurt hobbyist. Recently a big blow up in Austin over a thief that keeps changing handles and ripping off ladies, I clearly side with the ladies. But you always have someone champion the "constitutional" aspect of the thief's being guilty on just the ladies word. I say if enough claim smoke, there probably is fire.

Not familiar with the ATX sitch...However, very familiar with the CRAZY-fake-marine situation &(even though the info exchange is relevant in MANY other cases, as well) feel that if were easier to divulge info, like emails, phone #s etc. There could have be fewer casualties. For example...a Hobbyist makes a claim, rip off or what ever...well they are allowed to give out info for the provider, whether or not the Hobbyists checks the ALERTS, or even after he has does the further research to decide to see the Provider or not is up to him...HOWEVER in the INFO-SHARE area the Provider is not even allowed to give out identifying info for the Hobbysist...soooo, she has to send a PM, what for the Provider. Said Provider may be busy, or just irritated-cause now she feels like the Hobbyist has assaulted her/ripped her off or hurt her is still tying up her time, so she either doesn't respond, or takes days...I mean come on, its not cool. We are all human beings, and regardless of age, race, religion or sexual preference...etc-were taught by our parents to do unto others..right? IJS

The numbers that are allowed to be posted publicly are those that are have been previously outed (either by a provider during advertising, or in a review).

Moderators have always removed private numbers at the request of the provider. So long as it is not on their showcase, backpage ad, her ECCIE ad, etc. Moderators will also remove a provider's number from a review, so long as it meets that criteria.

Since most men (there are a few fucktards that do) don't make their telephone numbers public, they are removed.

There is PLEANTY of information about Raveninthenest. There are pictures and real life information of him on other websites. I don't know what is this problem you speak of.

Providers can talk to each other and PM this information. It is not the site's fault that hooktards don't want to read alert threads or view each other as competition.

I get the OPs point and also understand the sites rules and why they are in place.

It is still frustrating tho and allows for there to be a chance of a) turning down potential clients with similar numbers b) accidentally seeing the subject of the alert.

Right now all we can do is pm the number to everyone who asks but that is very time consuming.
