Vemo Island Resort Fiji

Been in Fiji several days enjoying the company of a couple of girls from Sao Paulo, been anchored out near the international airport for the last 2 days and managed an exchange of providers in a 3 hour turnaround at the airport. I had made reservations at the Vemo Island Resort and had to wait a few days for the reservation date as the resort is full. We sailed around the main Island (Fuji) on the East side and approached Vemo Island from the east side but that was the windward side so we sailed around to the other side. I radioed the resort and was we our set anchors the resort sent out a nice tender to pick us up, we were very nicely welcomed by the assistant manager of the resort aboard the tender. I took my Captain and his wife as well as Larissa for a 3 night stay. I got us 2 rooms but not too close together. We live on a 75 foot yacht and I know that they need a little separation from me and my antics with different girls.

NOW I have to say that this place is far and away the Very Best Place I have ever stayed. The entire staff is unbelievably accommodating to our every wish, the food is fantastic. The rooms which are separate duplex style Polynesian huts with every amenity great quiet A/C very modern inside and well insulated as we never heard anything from the family next door though we did meet them and their 2 kiddos, very nice and gracious people from Europe though I failed to ask where, told them that I am American but live in Andorra, they said they often go there to ski.

The resort has great amenities for the kids and they are pretty much separated from everyone except their parents. We went snorkeling and decided to scuba so the resort took us back to my yacht, we retrieved our gear and they took us out to an amazing spot with great coral and some deeper diving just off the reef, great coral, clear warm water and sooooo many fish, saw turtles and 2 enormous rays and quite a few sharks. We were the only people anywhere near that spot and it was great. We went back after 3.5 hours of diving and the resort people took care of our dive equipment and refilled our tanks as well-all without asking for anything. The resort chef fixed us a special lobster meal at 3:30 that afternoon as we were all famished. My Chef is a fantastic cook and she was very complimentary of the food.

Anyway this place is THE PLACE to go if you are in Fiji but reservations are tough, mine took 46 days to get the 2 rooms. It is quite expensive but being treated like you own the place is something that all the guests there enjoy. They will pick you up from the airport in a helicopter and bring you to the island which is a few miles north of the main Island if you so desire.

Yesterday I took the neighbor family out to my Yacht so they and their 2 boys could experience sailing, we sailed around the Island using only our sails and they loved it. The resort carried us out to the yacht and were waiting for us again when we returned-just fantastic service!!

OH BTW Larissa is amazing!

I am a lucky guy no doubt but it is self made luck. My boat is a Oyster 745 single masted sail boat, I love the ocean almost as much as I love the hobby.

No been to both and the Philippines but after I finish in the So Pacific which will take another few months, I will visit New Zealand, Australia, then to the Philippines and on to Thailand, Singapore, then to CoCos Keeling Is where I have a buddy who has retired there, then across the Indian Ocean. I plan to avoid the excessive bureaucracy of India and their territories, they (The Government) have a bad rep with cruisers. Madagascar, South Africa then up the coast to the Med by late 2019 or early 2020-that is assuming I live that long- and the girls don't kill me with kindness. The girls in Barcelona are missing me-or my money anyway. LOL

Plan to Stop at Guam? An Air Force buddy was stationed there years ago and loved Guam. Said the supply of girls were beautiful and endless. He could have seen a different doll every day and never seen them all. Have no idea what Guam is like today.

Any plans to stop at Hong Kong or China, since you are in the area? A Brit buddy said both were great wide open fun spots where anything goes in the past. Said the Nuru and 'soapy massages' were too die for, where after being serviced by a few Asian dolls for 3-4 hours straight of non-stop fun, he just about had to be wheeled to his cab in a wheelchair!

Hear New Zealand is a sexual paradise too since prostitution is legal there.

Know a petite Malaysian doll who has visited Singapore a few times who says Singapore is a great fun place! Said Singapore goes non-stop 24/7 and prostitution is legal also. She has seen some of the most beautiful women from all over the world in Singapore.

I did not enjoy my time in Guam but it was a different world then, I hope for the sake of the service men there that what your buddy said is still true. Foe me it was only dependent women who were passable but not really my COT.

Looking forward to Singapore, not going to Hong Kong been there 3 times and had a blast though thought I was going to ware Jr out in HK, or at least I tried. I managed to take leave there for a week 2 times and 5 days the last time, loved Singapore too.

I am kinda waiting to post reviews till Eccie opens up So America and or Asia and Europe to reviews-I mean encounters. My Bad........

Don't have a schedule except to try to be in Barcelona by Dec 2019 sorry I don't know. Just had to effect a rescue repair of my software in Germany.

Retired but that happens sometime-some yeahoo tried to get into my program buy hot wiring a circuit, he's lucky my safeguard didn't cut in and destroy the hard drive-would'a cost them big time as is just my travel expenses and day charges and I ain't cheap. Best part is 46 hours of travel from Fiji to Bremerhaven EACH WAY> DAMN!!!

Had to take a "work break" and go to Bremerhaven GR for a software problem on a ship. They treated me great, 1st helicopter ride to the Baltic failed after landing to pick me up, they fixed the chopper but the ship showed up late that night so I got up fixed it and hopped a plane to NYC, landing in LAX and hope to make a connection with a plane to Fiji. I've got to say that the jet lag and lack of rest is really hard on me it was 46 hours getting to Bremerhaven and it looks like it will ONLY be about 36 going back.
