Thanks a lot guys. I had been trying to get Jocelyn JohnSIN to come to Omaha for a while now. And she finally agreed. She posted an add on P411 3 weeks ago saying she would be in Omaha this weekend. I booked an appointment with her back then and she told me her schedule was already pretty well booked up. That's why you never saw her ad on Eccie.

Well anyway, she sends me a message last night saying she isn't coming to Omaha after all because every one of her appointments except me had cancelled. Every freaking one. Thanks a lot. Way to give this area a good reputation guys. Every one.

Within the recent past I had one traveling regular postpone her Omaha tour due to cancellations (I was the last survivor on the list) and another was considering taking Omaha off her rotation due to a rash of last minute cancellations on her last trip. I like to see a mix of regulars, both local and traveling, spiced with new travelers so I would hate to see Omaha become provider "fly over country".

I submitted a P411 pre-approval request to Jocelyn but we didn't have an appointment yet because I was unsure of my schedule. As of a few minutes ago it turns out I will have free time but now she will not be traveling. Guess I need to start researching who else will be available in the next few days.

And with the flu, colds, bronchitis going around, it is pretty easy for people to get sick and have to cancel this time of year.

I usually don't know my schedule more than a 2 to 4 days ahead of time, so don't try to schedule sooner than that.

I am berating the members that booked her services early and then cancelled at the last minute.

I have looked at her profile many times and liked what I saw. I hoped she would come our way, but the dates she had posted didn't work for me. She should have put an add on here. With all the different gals coming to town she needs to advertise a little. I usually just see traveling ladies. Plus there are a lot guys that don't know there schedule till the last minute. I doubt you would have been her only client if she came here.

I don't get all the fuss. First, she is not my type so I would not have helped even if I did see her ad, and at her price point I get the time of my life with what we have here for a third the price less. How many 300 appointments does it take to make it worth while for her and as others have well stated, if she would have advertised just a bit, she likely would have made her mark. As for your loss, sorry that happened bro, maybe its time for a road trip her way.

So she says. Could also be she changed her mind or got a greener ($$$) opportunity elsewhere, and told you one of those "provider tales" we have all run across. And... ever tell a little fib when breaking a provider date? Tales and stories are at the heart of this hobby. Doesn't sound like she was busting her butt to make the visit happen.

I had to cancel my visit due to weather this last time....but did have a good schedule planned...so that sucked for me! I have had to cancel a few times due to low prebook request,but I just keep trying.....sometimes it is "just luck of the draw" when trasveling and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Kind of a multi faceted decision I made soooo...

Besides getting all the cancels.... on the way over to Des Moines the front end of my car felt a little funny- loose is no bueno generally so figured i should probably get it looked at before going anywhere too far at high speeds, especially after I curb checked like 6 times downtown (watch out woman driver ppl). My verdict? Every single one of my tie rods had to be replaced, also wheel bearings, control arms aghhhh - oh and something rack and pinion- so no Omaha, no home either just been hanging in Des Moines. Had I not had the car issues I'm sure I would have considered an ad here once I received the cancels from P411. But with a fully booked tour plus a waiting list there wasn't really a need for an ECCIE ad as I generally try to advertise as little as I need to -why call unnecessary attention to myself or have people inquiring when I gotta say no? I didn't even post one for Des Moines after I got stuck here 3 extra days crying about all the cash I just dumped in to the piece of shit- I never have a 'quota' i expect to meet- if i dont have appointments I go do things- im easily amused. Greedy is not in my vocabulary unless we're talking sour gummy worms. I'm pretty low volume by choice, especially for a touring lady- no one gets me less than fully primed and ready to rock your world. I'm a perfectionist and a people pleaser by nature and I HATE having to cancel things and disappoint people- and having to change everything I worked hours on while sacrificing time w my family the weeks before sucked a bit too but I roll with the punches. I was sent a link to this by several actually so figured an explanation was better than everyone speculating and making assumptions about the type of person I am or am not (read my "fortune pussy" review or watch my twitter vid of me tearing it up in a power wheels in a dragon onesie-I'm actually kinda comedy) Sometime I will get to Omaha- probably even in the next 4-8 weeks- I just think it may be wise to get a car that i havent been beating to hell for a year or wait until skirt weather so I can improve my chances of getting someone to stop if I gotta ditch Bessie the Beater and hitchhike. Hopefully I will get to meet some of you- if not I'm sure there's a dive bar playing horrible karaoke music with my name on it


And now it's time to find coffee, hold my eyelids open with toothpicks, and pray this damn car doesn't fall apart before I get home to CR- happy weekend!

133 miles to Omaha....139 to Cedar Rapids- I haven't made it to either yet- stilll stuck in the good ol capitol city- 6 days and counting! I need some rest in my own bed before I take on Omaha- you guys seem like a feisty bunch - I do love a challenge.
