I have worked in a clinical setting in the past, and I have seen a couple of patients with advanced (terminal) syphilis. We also had patients with advanced HIV/AIDS. Believe me, you do not want to be that guy!

I would not have unprotected sex with any provider, nor should they. Any provider who offered or allowed BB would be deeply suspect in my book. Providers should feel the same way about Hobbyists.

I’m amazed this question gets asks in a high risk profession. You know the risks and they have not changed. STDs are rampant and providers and customers know the pitfalls. If you do bareback in a sex related hobby, proceed at your own peril. If there was an anonymous survey done, I’d guess 30-50% would admit to getting a STD from someone on this board. More troubling are the people that know they have a dirty box or meat stick and still proceed with bareback.

But lets set health issues aside for a moment. There is a whole other dimension to this issue.

Even if there was no way to contract an STD by engaging in promiscuous unprotected sex with strangers, I would not go bare back. There are to many children who are or have grown up with no father. Single mothers have a hard time, but it is worse in many ways for the children. This happens a lot in the civi world. there is no reason for the Hobby to contribute.
