Need a Birmingham (Homewood) Attorney-Suggestions Please

I got a traffic ticket in Homewood and want to fight it. Anyone know of a good attorney who handles such cases in Homewood?

Just pay it, you will spent more money on an attorney and court cost than the cost of the ticket itself unless you just want to prove a point to leo

Yeah, you are right. I've cooled off now. I'll pay it and move on. It's not worth the expense. The end result would probably be the same anyway.

Running a red light. I was the last car in a long line of traffic. But, I got stopped and ticketed.

I'm going to pay the ticket and move on. Not worth the expense of fighting it.

I've been told that if you show up in court and the cop doesn't, they throw away the ticket. May be an urban legend, but... Also, not sure if you still have to pay court costs. Might be worth researching, I suppose.

If he doesn't show up they will throw it although they usually show up so the odds of him not showing will be pretty small. There is another way around it, go to court do some type of community service and it wont go on your record and jack your insurance rate up but if you ran the light and got ticketed you can forget beating it, his dash camera would have caught you and even if he doesnt have one, his word will outweigh yours in court.(Innocent until proven guilty is the urban legend)

Birmingham I know for a fact will continue the damn case 3 times. After the third time the cop doesn't show up they dismiss it.

The key is finding a cop willing to take a little cash not to show up.

FWIW, I showed up in court in Baldwin county ready to fight the ticket (the cop tailgated me in heavy fog). The cop showed up, the judge asked what happened, the cop stared at the ticket and finally came up with "I don't remember." At which point the judge said "Case dismissed." I didn't press anything cause small town, but that might be another reason to go to court.
