Just saw a commercial on Fox26 from Adrian Garcia. The tagline was "Whether you are soliciting on the streets or online, you are going to get caught" The premise behind the stepped up program is that demand increases trafficking. So, it looks like a renewed crack down on the demand side.

I won't sit here and say I don't look at BP ads but what I will say is the ones that catch my interest are established ladies who appear legit. And by Legit I go by the following list:

1) they have an established track record on here or P411

2) they have their own website so you can get answers to 98% of your questions

3) their photos do not depict the inside of a "Mr. Patel" motel (this one there are exceptions)

4) Their info seems to check out / images do not get hits on TinEye and GIS.

These "guidelines" are not set in concrete and there will be exceptions to them but so far it has kept me out of trouble and always listen to that 6th sense.. if it does not "feel" right.. leave or turn around and cancel.. better to NCNS the lady than to be calling a friend to bail you out.

Some of these girls look like they are fresh out of high school. My guess is they would rather flip over on their back than flip burgers.... Or.. they are in college, mom and dad are paying for it so they don't have any disposable income from parents.. or the college scholarship they got only pays for books, classes, boarding and on campus meals so they figure why not gen some cash the old fashioned way?

In the first place, 55 years of existence has taught me not to believe a single word anyone in law enforcement utters. Second, the War on Drugs has taught me that putting up red herrings about the under-aged is one of the ways Law enforcement and their media continue to prop up support for these so called vice laws.

Ultimately if you want to protect sex workers, you make it legal and regulated.

Brooke - I apologize, you are right and I do agree with you on your points. I do not deal with SWs, or places where there might be human trafficking. I just let me own cynicism take over a bit yesterday. Please don't take one sentence I wrote as a reflection of my overall personality.
