Default This is how Texas legislators deal with their failures

They fire the folks they hired to enact their policies! It sounds like it costs a lot of money to winterize.

https://www.texastribune.org/2021/03...ssion-resigns/

Walker said the commission has “not been given legal authority by the Legislature to require winter weatherization,” a primary concern after the power crisis was precipitated by power plants tripping offline. Many power generators are not built to withstand extreme cold weather temperatures in Texas.

Walker deflected blame to ERCOT, the entity her agency oversees, and added of winterization: “It costs a lot of money.”

The person calling for her resignation was Republican, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick.

Had you read the article before parroting you standard DPST reply... you would not be now sounding like such a liar.

I may have to get a new sig line

.

Ercot did a great job. To winterize and maintain would cost a considerable amount! Who is the guy always crying about govt spending?

Republicans are the ones calling on people to resign. You do understand who has total control of the State government.

I'll give you a hint...it ain't Democrats

Yes....that is exactly wtf Abbott is doing. He is firing the people he hired....who actually did a pretty good job given the constraints people like Abbott put on them.

Texas would be in a real Cluster Fuck if that was the case. Take a look at Illinois you'll be glad you're in Texas.

The only people glad they were in Texas during this time are plumbers.

As a former Chicagoan, Texas state government is like a goddamn dream come true.

'w' - if you don't like it - Vote.
Or leave for chiiago, Portland, DC, Ny, or other DPST authoritarian shitholes that suit the DPST idiotology!

First time in almost 40 years. With all time records being set. Unrealistic
