Progressives spawned Eugenics, which was, for the time, scientific racism. Eugenics spawned both the concept of an aryan master race, which the nazi's subscribed to, as well as planned parenthood.

Can anyone here back up opinion with fact? Flu shots have been around for years and generally beneficial (yada, yada, to rare side effects, etc), albeit not always a perfect protection, but the best science has to offer at the time. Lo risk, lo cost, potential benefit, good poker bet. Why politicize such a thing?

People don't like the idea of using "The Science" as a means to dictate your life and violate your personal freedom. Actually, some do like it.
