all of the bad responses to covid came from people like Fauci and Birx. if they aren't really idiots then they did what i suspect they did, intentionally gave Trump bad advise. 100 years of science shows lockdowns don't do shit to stop any virus they only prolong it. yet they claimed it would work and clearly it didn't.
and for WTF ... no Trump did not shutdown the economy. on the advice of Fauci the Governors did that. many of them Democrat, many Republican. had nada to do with Trump because in a Federal Republic he doesn't have the authority to order the states to do that in the first place.
Fauci also said not to wear masks early on, then wear masks knowing perfectly well that the cheap generic masks being sold weren't effective then told people to wear 2 and even 3 masks. he knew like any expert should have that anything less than a heavy cloth adjustable surgical grade mask
at the minimum aren't effective.
