problem here is the legislature, the president and police are corrupt.

South American Trump? Come on WTF. As Dilbert said, Castillo was about as far left as you can get these days, and Trump was not. Sounds like Castillo was about to move forward with the Latin American playbook pioneered by Hugo Chavez and Daniel Ortega, that is, a takeover by the socialist elite.

Trump was motivated by self interest, not ideology. I don't think he would have dissolved Congress, even if fellow Republican Party members and American institutions had permitted it, which they didn't and wouldn't.

Fair enough WTF. And yes, my biggest complaint about Trump, by far, is that he tried to upend over 200 years of American democracy. By and large, I didn't have a problem with his policies, other than the trade wars and a failure to control spending.

You’ve got a point, especially as it applies to alleged collusion with Russia.

For a while I criticized Trump as much as anyone on this board for the way he handled COVID. But looking back, overall I’m not sure he did much better or worse than many other world leaders. And he and his administration deserve a lot of credit for Operation Warp Speed, and getting FDA approval for the vaccines in record time.

Trump does not get enough credit for getting the vaccine out that his numbnutted followers mostly would not get!
