If you are newbie, you get to TJ by flying into San Diego, taking the train, walking off the train, crossing the border, and getting a cab.
I wouldn't mess with a "reputable" hotel your first time. Book a room at Hotel Cascadas which is next to the Hong Kong Club. You will see hundreds of Mexican hotties. You pick out who you like and take her to your room for $100, and you get full service from them. Rooms are $60 for simple and go to hundreds for VIP style. You get into the club for free if you book a hotel room, and there are tons of Americans there. It's safe.
I am not sure if it is a law but women get tested like every month. Most women demanded everything covered, but they will do things uncovered for a tip. I hit it off with a 10 from Guadlajara.
