I'll Retire in Arkansas

Through the years I have always thought I would move to the beach when I finally decided to retire, until now. My work takes me all over the states where big industry has landed. I have been from northern New York to South Florida, West Phoenix and Portland and Seattle and lots of places in between. My trips have allowed me to see many amazing things and some that I would prefer to never see again. I have always enjoyed being close to the beach. A week ago Sunday I made a trip to south of Atlanta for a few day and got to experience just the remnants of Hurricane Irma. It wasn't much worse than a big Arkansas thunderstorm, just lasted longer. Got to come home for just a day and a half and then had to go to Florida. It's like living in a fricking swamp. Water everywhere, houses destroyed, mass confusion, nobody seems to know what is happening or when it will change. My mindset has completely changed. I'm ready to get away from here. Las Vegas next week and hopefully home after that. I think I'll just keep my little place in Arkansas and make a visit to the coast, not in Hurricane season, a couple times a year. Give me a weekend in the Boston Mountains on a 4 wheeler or an early mornings on Beaver Lake any day. At least at home you don't need to carry a baseball bat to defend yourself against the mosquitoes. Hope the storms in the Atlantic stay away from where it is already a ravaged mess.

If nothing is done about this global warming issue pretty soon I'm pretty sure everyone will just move inland..They won't have a choice.. it's sad but I've heard about a program that actually is running tests to manipulate the weather and THATS what's been making all these horrific hurricanes worse than normal. Ppl on the coast are uses to weatheringvthe storm but that's just becoming impossible to do with these "genetically modified" storms

I have a home here in Orlando and one in Arkansas. When the storm hit I went to Atlanta and spent the week. I return to the area and my power was still out but no actual structural damage. I just lost the content of my refrigerator. I was able to stay in my timeshare property in Kissimmee until the power returned. It gave me an opportunity to throw everything away and clean out my refrigerator. It did delay my return to Arkansas again, but I am schedule to return to Arkansas next week (unless something else happens).
I believe that global warming is an issue. When I was a kid the biggest weather issue was the coming ice age and the resulting reduction in food production for the world.
Every region of the country has different weather advantages and disadvantages. In Arkansas we have to worry about tornados popping up in the middle of the night and taking out our home while we sleep. There is a major fault line that runs through Arkansas that is overdue on its potential movement. Scientists are predicting that whenever it does slip there will be series of major quakes of unknown magnitude. At least with a Hurricane you know when it is coming and you have time to move prior to its arrival. The New Madrid Seismic Zone is one of the biggest concerns for the Federal Emergency Management Agency today and I don’t believe that they currently have any way to predict the event.

Chemtrails, you see them everywhere
That is the very reason why I moved inland (Ar needs more PR natives anyway)ha
Eventually the East Coast and West Coast will be underwater.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all that have to endure the wrath on mother earth... especially to the familia stuck in Puerto Rico

I heard about the fault line here the other day.. someone said pinnacle mountain is actually classified as a dormant volcano bc it sits on this fault line ....

What's going on in PR breaks my heart.. especially since we have no real leadership that's doing anything about it .. but I'll sip my tea on that thought and save it for the political forum smh
My dream is to move to the west coast but by the time I get my shit together like you said it'll prob be underwater or burnt to a crisp... and as much awareness as ppl try to bring to the apparent issues nothing will change bc these big corporations make bank off of destroying the environment....we're fxckd.
