Since when does what an overwhelming majority of Texans support (or oppose) mean it's the right (legal) thing? An overwhelming majority of men used to think women shouldn't have the right to vote. An overwhelming majority of people in the south used to support slavery. An overwhelming majority of people used to think schools and lunch counters and water fountains ought to be segregated.
