We are no closer to peace with North Korea today than we were when Trump took office. I think Trump got snookered by Kim - who was playing for time to establish his nuclear program - which would mean his country was invulnerable to the feared attack by the West - and that fear used to control his country and pour all resources into its military.

kim was never going to give up his nukes - won't now.

fortunately - at this point he does not have a delivery system capable of hitting theUS - unless China gives him a system.

I still feel NK is comrade Xi's focal point and proxy for China's ambitions - and if Xi can tie up US attetnion with "bad boy" Kim - it leaves China to their own devices with little attetnion to what they are doing - taking US manufacturing into the China sphere - so they can hold US hostage to their own plans of hemispheric dominance.
