Just found and read this article about 15 minutes ago, so providers, please be careful out there. I highly suggest that you arm yourself with a firearm, knife, pepper spray, or anything that will give you at least a fighting chance to survive your attack. If anything else, make your attacker pay a hefty price for messing with you, and if worse comes to worse, if you are going to go pay the ultimate price anyway, make your attacker pay the same price.

Anyway, again, be careful out there.

That's why girl who do outcalls should text one of their girlfriends the address and tell them if they don't hear from them in 60 minutes, or however long the appointment is for, then to call the cops. It always good to have someone you trust with that info.

Don't do overnights with guys you've just met. If I do an overnight it's with someone I've known for a while.

Always have your guard up.

Take self-defense classes. Believe me they work and it will come in handy when the time is right.

I think it's fucked up to treat escorts differently than normal people. Just because we have this service doesn't make us less of a human being and that doesn't mean if you murder us that no one will care. Not everyone who is label a "prostitute" automatically means they have no family, friends or anyone that would not care if they died. These sickos need help. It's like also going around and raping "prostitutes" and thinking you can get away with it because it's their job to provide.

My heart goes out to these women's families. Not only were they killed, but their business of being an escort was in the news. For a parent, they don't want to hear that their child was killed let alone an escort on top of that. This situation is pretty fucked up!

I hope you are right as far as that stat goes. It's a scary number.

I definitely do not condone this persons actions. What happened sucks. But some of these cities like Detroit and Cleveland, it's so bad there in general, it's almost like they're not real US cities. I really feel sorry for the people there, all the madness and chaos that goes on there, I can see how some people can just go crazy. No excuse for this guy's actions though, obviously a nut-case.

Jemma, not only learning some type of self-defense/close quarter battle hand-to-hand combat skills, it is also good to be in good or top physical shape. In reference to Craiglist, here is another article that I found:

Sex and Crime always generate great attention for the news/media business.
Escort is an oldest profession on earth and always be a risky business, unfortunately some ladies have no alternative(s), some actually enjoy the chill of business ... it absolutely does not constitute ladies be less human beings, probably they deserve better treatment for their personal struggles/hardships, IMHO.
I definitely condemn this cruel action, my heart goes out to the families of victims, but it's a fact of life in our society and happened many times in a same form or similarities.
For the ladies, it's redundant to say again but be safe and more careful out there.
